Well you have SNAP, health insurance, housing allowance,CHIP, earned Income tax credit, Obama phones, and others. Also getting diagnosed now days with a disability is pretty easy.
A lot of those programs go hand in hand with people who are disabled.

Full disclosure I work for Social Security. It’s not easy to obtain disability benefits as the initial denial rate indicates. No, people aren’t automatically denied the first time around. Yes, there is a significant rate of approvals through the appeals process but you’re looking at a good 1-2 year wait to get through that process.
So bottom line, it’s not easy to get on disability.
