Burnt out at age 29? I wish I had the money to be burnt out and retire. Must be nice.

Their now 1st string QB is ok, but that is devastating to the other 51 guys and their fans.

We say burnt out but let's not act like Luck didn't try to keep fighting through injury after injury. It's 2019, this is the new way of the NFL. Guys are going to retire vs. keep going until they are physically incapable of doing so, and seriously damage their post-NFL quality of life.

TBH, if I wasn't a Skins fan I'd seriously tell Jordan Reed he really needs to start thinking about his post-NFL quality of life. 7 documented concussions (and more that we don't know about) is a lot to put up with. Just for comparison, Frankie Muniz had 9 concussions and he can't even remember working on Malcolm in the Middle.

I agree with this. That's pretty scary.

Honestly, sad for our sport, but I say good for him. Must have been hard to let go on the high expectations he must have had for the rest of his career... But he has enough money to live the rest of his life, he tried hard to come back, wish him nothing but the best for the rest of his life.

Injuries added up, he said he's just mentally done with football. Sucks for the team and fans but I don't blame him honestly.

The reactions by the colt fans at the game last night was extremely poor. Wow

Dude, I just tried to explain this concept to a friend. I said it was horseshit they got luck to begin with...they didn’t earn having to develop a questionable talent...they got 2 of the strongest, no brainer qb prospects ever. She’s a saints fan...again she has no clue of the struggle of finding a QB

Just tells me you have to protect the QB at all cost's!

Do you guys trade Kase Keenum to the Colts?

There backup is pretty good. He is not a top ten qb but top 2/3 of the league. The colts will go 6 - 10 and miss the good qb in next years draft.

Pretty shocking to hear the news about Luck but when you think about what he’s been through injury wise it makes sense. Football is such a brutal sport as fans I don’t think we always realize what these guys put themselves through mentally and physically.

Glad to see a players think beyond football.
