If you say so...
Glad we agree.

If you could make 1 change...Skinsfanatic 09-12-2019, 01:23 PM If you say so... Glad we agree. SkinzzFan 09-12-2019, 02:05 PM Glad we agree. Well, I like your answer but I would like to change it at the same time. This follows your logic so I'm sure you'll agree to that to. LOL. Skinsfanatic 09-12-2019, 02:27 PM Well, I like your answer but I would like to change it at the same time. This follows your logic so I'm sure you'll agree to that to. LOL. Nope, not the same logic at all. Your logic would be lime saying "I like the Redskins team name and I want to change it." What I actually said is I am a fan of the Redskins, but I would also like them to change their name. You can be a fan of something while acknolwdging there are parts you are unhappy with. MTK 09-12-2019, 03:09 PM So change the name, change the uniforms... then the identity of the team is gone. So are you just a fan of the football team playing in DC? So are you just a fan of the football team playing in DC? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I agree. With all the player moves these days the only thing left for the fan to identify with is the name and the colors. Take that away and you take away the fans connection to the team. Seinfeld was correct, we are rooting for laundry. Warthog 09-12-2019, 03:57 PM Change the owner. Change of owner gets a new corporate and team culture. Bring in a new HC and a real NFL-experienced GM. Not a fake GM like Vinny Cerrato or Bruce Allen, who were just yes-men and frontmen who let Dan Snyder act as the GM from behind the scenes. The winning team gets back the fans and politicians Changing the owner gets you a new stadium, perhaps with a municipal / owner building deal. I like the Redskins name. But if thinking of a change go to CHEYENNE. It is two syllables, so it fits in the old song. Name of a REAL WARRIOR tribe versus just a generic phrase. Get to keep everything else about the Redskins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Who said change the uniforms? Maybe someone else? I said specifically that the logo, images, etc. shouldn't change. It is literally only the word "Redskins" that bothers me. And no, I am a fan of the team I have been following as long as I can remember watching football. My youngest daughter is named Sunny and she will tell you and anyone in her 2nd-grade class who will listen, that she was named after Sonny Jurgensen. Someone can think the team should be renamed and still be a fan. punch it in 09-12-2019, 07:15 PM Who said change the uniforms? Maybe someone else? What about the fact that there are literally Native American high schools whose nicknames are the Redskins? I totally understand where you are coming from. Racist crap bugs the hell out of me. I am just not sold on it being racist. Skinsfanatic 09-12-2019, 07:39 PM But what about the fact that most native Americans- according to polls - are not bothered by the name? By the way, and I am not saying you said this, I can support changing the name and still be a fan just like other fans can support keeping the name and not be racists. If fans of the team cant disagree on things and all still be fans, we're screwed. |
