Basically I just want to be able to watch the NFL, Redzone, and during baseball season SNY for the Mets. My daughter has the cable for internet only , they have a Netflix account and a Smart TV that is already set up for a whole bunch of stuff which I think they get through the Xbox set up. The bedrooms she has some sort of over the air antenna ,it seems to do ok for the local stuff. .............this is in N. Carolina jamf 10-04-2019, 09:21 PM I have Attnow which used to be called DirectvNow. It’s alright but doesn’t have NFL network which was a recent loss. If you go to an online cable company, check their local channels for your area. Not all of the big 4 are available everywhere. mooby 10-04-2019, 10:08 PM If I could get a package that included Netflix/Hulu, Comedy Central, MASN, NBCSN, NFL/NHL/MLB/NBA games for less than the cost of a DTV package I'd be cutting the cord too. Sports and Comedy Central accounts for 95% of what I watch nowadays. sdskinsfan2001 10-04-2019, 11:18 PM I don't pay a cable bill (have a flat rent, we have spectrum). But I recently got YouTube TV to watch FSU games that are on ACC Network. Then it came in handy for the Braves playoff games this week. Both started on the WC during working hours. It works absolutely great on my phone but not on my tablet. Both are android devices. And its not my tablet because I watched MLB.tv all year on my tablet and it was awesome. So not sure what the issue is. The user interface is very easy to use. If you don't plan on using it mainly on a tablet (that was my original intent) I'd recommend it. Apparently the DVR feature is pretty sweet too. I basically only use it for live sports so I can't vouch either way for that one. Its $49.99 per month. Bishop Hammer 10-11-2019, 04:22 PM Currently using YouTube TV to watch sports and live tv. Half the price of cable and not as many useless channels I never watch. On top of that I have Neflix, Hulu, and Shudder and my monthly bill is still way cheaper than cable. mredskins 10-12-2019, 11:21 AM Starting to look into my options to dump cable. Any suggestions? PlayStation Vue mredskins 10-12-2019, 11:26 AM Matty Get PlayStation Vue then add MLB network in season. Vue is the best cable cutter. Cable companies get you on the equipment rentals. I just bought fire sticks and used my ps4 on the tv in the basement. I was paying fios $250 a month. Now my bill is 80 for 1GB internet per month plus 49 a month for Vue. You can mix it up however you want put if anyone is still watching tv through a cable box you are getting screwed and you literally watching tv how the caveman did.
