A friend of mine and rabid Packers fan is worried. I snorted derisively and said that the Pack would win handily. He stressed that their run D isn't great, AP has a history of torching them, and that they may be looking past the Redskins to the following week's game against the resurgent Bears. (It's a trap.) I snorted derisively again.

But if we somehow manage a W, folks will be talking about running the table against the Eagles, Giants, and playing for the division championship in week 17 against Dallas. Which is crazy-talk.
There's no "somehow. It's exactly what the nfl will do.

Separately, I would LOVE to see this story have a happy ending: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/12/05/nate-orchard-was-ready-give-up-after-becoming-redskins-unlikely-hero-he-wants-be-more/

I'm pulling for Orchard, I always love underdog players.. Although, it might be tough for Orchard to prove his worth if Kerrigan and Sweat are able to play tomorrow and rest of the season.

He can find a role IMO. Even with Kerrigan and Sweat healthy, we've always had rotation at OLB, Ryan Anderson has had his fair number of snaps while not creating crazy stats (I like him and think he has progressed quite impressively, but it's not like he's an obvious playmaker).

Completely agree. BTW, I like your signature, Mr. Ambassador. A lot.

Skins have beat Rosen, a back up for the Lions nobody knows, and Allen who was shell shocked and probably should have been benched.

If Miami had put Fitzmagic in a drive earlier, we would have lost that.

Until we beat a team with an actual NFL QB, I think all the champagne popping should be put on hold.

We haven't busted a grape.

Preston Smith ranks 5th going into this week in sacks with 10.5.

Odom and Orchard balled out against Carolina because they haven't had enough time to be ruined by our coaching staff. (probably other reasons, but this is what i'm going with)

Just saying.
