Agreed. It amazes me that some of the same people here who are excited by Bruce being gone are wanting the team to make the same dumb type of moves that Bruce would make. Keeping guys like Williams and Kerrigan is only something you should do if you are "close." We aren't. We have a good base of young talent, but we are rebuilding. If we're giving anyone big money (and we should have a lot in the offseason), it needs to be young, rising players.

This is kinda how I lean, but the thing with Trent is super important position with a top 5 talent there. Add a year, up some guaranteed money and offer a short term deal. Then gather a plan to move on from Trent.

Kerrigan should go...

So if Rivera is hired does this mean Norman stays? Apparently Norman is pretty happy about how situation is unfolding

He let Norman walk before so it's not a sure thing but what is a sure thing is Norman would play much better in new system.

Kerrigan should go...Kerrigan, Williams, Norman, Reed, and Davis just off the top of my head.

Kerrigan can only comeback if he takes a pay cut

My thing w/ Kerrigan is we have to start getting rid of guys a year early vs. a year too late, regardless of pay cuts or team status. Let the guy go be a role player on a contending type of team. Joe Montana and Jerry Rice ended their careers on different teams, if they can then so can Ryan Kerrigan.

I agree on keeping TW if we can get a friendly deal, as it lets us look at an LT next season/year after. I'd like Kerrigan to stay but that's me being sentimental, and if he is losing it, then move on. And if that means taking Young as an immediate replacement...

Norman has me in a quandary. Anyone think he might make the move to FS as others have done before? I'm inclined to move on if not, or his salary can't be made more friendly.

If we take Young, and we move to a 4-3, then we really need to address both tackles (assuming we don't bring TW back) and a starting corner, plus an upgrade at FS if we can. Not sure we have the picks for all that.

I just checked with TW, he's happily agreed to a [team] friendly deal, reiterating his desire to retire a Washington Redskin.

Things Bruce did well:

- jumped on D Jax and got him signed to a reasonable deal
