Is Jordan Reed a post 6/1 cut or what is the delay?

Post 6/1 really doesn’t matter with no cba, plus if we didn’t wait to post June 1 p rich, wouldn’t make any sense to wait with reed. Zero excuse not too cut him SunnySide 02-14-2020, 03:19 PM Is Jordan Reed a post 6/1 cut or what is the delay? I think diplomacy (and perhaps a decision from Greg Olsen) may be the delay. Jordan Reed's whole career was here, he was a 2nd contract guy and I think its different when you are thinking of cutting a guy for concussions vs play (norman). Also, cutting guys like Norman and Richardson now is the respectful move for vets so they have an increased chance of signing on with a new team vs a cut in mid to late FA. But w Reed, the decision isnt what new team he will sign with but if he will ever play again. Theres plenty of time to move on from Reed, I dont mind them be respectful. of course with that said, theyll probably cut him in an hour ... Warthog 02-14-2020, 03:35 PM Yeah, the Norman and Richardson firings were the easy ones. Now it comes to Reed, who is a fan favorite. The best scenario is for Reed to retire. I hope the team can bring him in and make a mutual announcement on his retirement. I’m also in favor of releasing Moses. I don’t know the cap situation with him, but he had a terrible season with so many penalties. We can do better with a draft pick or UDFA. Put Martin in there. RR needs to send a message to other FA that poor play equals the door. I’d like to see the rehiring of Flowers, Scherff and Trent Williams. Also Dunbar. That's the smart play. Shows other players that the team cares about them, especially after they sacrifice their future health in pursuit of helping the squad. Jordan gave us everything he had until he couldn't. Hopefully he's able to retire comfortably without any long lasting issues. Defensewins 02-14-2020, 06:50 PM Jordan Reed drafted in 2013. From 2013 to today Redskins played 112 regular season games. Out 112 Jordan Reed he started 35. Wish the best for him. Chico23231 02-14-2020, 07:26 PM Jordan Reed drafted in 2013. From 2013 to today Redskins played 112 regular season games. Out 112 Jordan Reed he started 35. Respect or not, gtfo now BigHairedAristocrat 02-14-2020, 11:38 PM As far as I know, Reed still hasn’t cleared the concussion protocol. He can’t be cut until he’s cleared unless they work about an injury settlement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
