punch it in 04-18-2021, 03:56 PM Also a lot of talk about us having so many holes to fill. I think “so many” is too strong of language. Besides the quarterback in question (which is btw our biggest hole), T, LB, S, second TE. Other than that I see no glaring holes. I mean we could use some other pieces but no team is perfectly set at every position. Always going to be holes.
Chief X_Phackter 04-18-2021, 04:45 PM You're right, speaking in terms of just 2021, there's not necessarily glaring needs all over. Looking forward though, there is work to be done across the O-line in particular, and with the back seven of the defense.
BaltimoreSkins 04-18-2021, 04:50 PM Mond and Dak college stats for their last three years of college (in the same Conference) are very similar.
It's all a crapshoot, but I would rather take a flyer on him, than move up for a guy.
I tend to agree even though the odds of finding a long term QB outside of first round are not great but if we have better minds drafting it is no worse than what we have done in the past.

Really like the TE selections...right in that 3rd round area. They aren’t done at WR this offseason.
Greg Newsome is an underrated prospect

Very surprised no LB is on this list

I'm not. Without taking a look at the numbers, I'm gonna guess out of every draft class we have every year only 1-2 of them actually interview with the team.
I think these are guys Ron is just doing DD on, guys he doesn't expect to be available, guys he expects to play in the NFL, and maybe a couple of them he thinks he might have a shot at drafting.
I'd still put money on us drafting at least one LB. Maybe Ron doesn't want to tip his hand on the one he likes though.
Chief X_Phackter 04-19-2021, 10:03 AM Yeah, my bet is they will still draft a couple LBs. The interviews don't tell the whole story, but I do think in some cases they would be more valuable this year with the limited contact they can have with prospects.
I'm quite sure they will draft players they don't interview though.
EdmundDorf 04-19-2021, 10:13 AM That is by far not an exhaustive list.... if that is how many guys they have actually talked to given how many opportunities the NFL give them then it would be a huge front office failure..... The sites who publish these lists don't hear about every contact, they generally note when players mention it, as the teams aren't routinely giving out that information other than to blow smoke

No, I'm sure it is not. It's just what has been reported, just like all the other news.
