Monkeydad 05-28-2021, 04:11 PM I don't want to get into another Kirk discussion, I just find it funny that fans will scoff at his time here, meanwhile we've had absolute garbage QB play since he left and still don't have a long term answer. He still owns a bunch of passing records here and likely will for a long time. He play was not the problem, it's his selfish jackassery exit. Yeah they all want to maximize their earnings, but taking 2 tags with no intention of ever negotiating with the team isn't helping your team win. Goes both ways, Bruce gave him a ridiculous low ball offer that showed he clearly undervalued Kirk. And once it became obvious Kirk had no intention of resigning here, Bruce should have shipped him out of here ASAP even if it meant doing business with Kyle in SF. JoeRedskin 05-28-2021, 06:06 PM KC was, is, and always will be just as much a diva as RGIII ever was. Friend of mine who is a Minnesota fan describes the KC debates the Vikings fandom have over him; they are exactly the same ones we used to have (and, apparently, are having again). Ultimately, I just don't think you win with him and am glad we moved on. Bring on the FitzMagic. I think this offense is going to be equal parts fun and frustrating. Well said, 1 part fun Qb, 1 part frustrating QB, and 1 part dominating defense can be a good recipe. skinsfan69 05-29-2021, 07:48 AM He play was not the problem, it's his selfish jackassery exit. I guess you would have signed the crappy contract that Brice offered. MissouriSkin 05-29-2021, 09:17 AM And what would you have done if you were Cousins? I guess you would have signed the crappy contract that Brice offered. Never mind. Scalper 05-30-2021, 01:16 AM And what would you have done if you were Cousins? I guess you would have signed the crappy contract that Brice offered. Exactly. With a TURD owner like THE DAN that has screwed EVERYONE on the way out the door, with the only exception being Gibbs. Players have precious little power under the CBA, I don't fault a player for exploiting leverage one of the few times they get it. Also give Cousins credit for not taking a $50M bonus and demanding a trade the next year. He wanted out, so didn't sign a long-term deal. Cousins was NEVER going to resign because he is a moral man and THE DAN is a turd. Pile on the fanboy favoritism the owner showed RGIII, and it was over. Not resigning him was the right choice. Cousins a stellar human being, but will never lead a team to SB Victory. You had receivers demanding trades or refusing to resign with Vikes to escape Cousins, who checks down WAY too much and when he does go deep is inaccurate. I'm no Fitz fan, but he at least has some moxy and a killer instinct, Cousins is a USDA choice pussy. MTK 06-08-2021, 10:02 AM Washington QB coach Ken Zampese raves about Ryan Fitzpatrick (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/06/08/washington-qb-coach-ken-zampese-raves-about-ryan-fitzpatrick/) GridIron26 06-08-2021, 10:10 AM I really hope Turner will borrow some stuff from Chan Gailey (the offense coordinator for Miami in the last 2 years) - Fitzpatrick played really well in the last 2 years and had a career year in Buffalo when Gailey was the offense coordinator. | |
