I really hope we can stomp the Giants though. End on a high note by beating a team I detest. Honestly, if we don’t and then announce a sucky new name, I will seriously have to consider whether I want to spend the next half of my life rooting for this team

They had -10 net yards passing today so if we don't stomp them there should be firings

One thing for sure, I would not overpay if they decide to go for Jimmy G, definitely not a 1st or 2nd rounder, maybe a 3rd. Fuck the 49ers they already ripped us off with TW.

Do not want. He lives in the cold tub. Plus he really isn't all that much better than what we currently have.

Fedex Field Falls Apart pt. 134:

What’s our favorite stadium/equipment embarrassment of the season?

1. Pipe bursting raining sewage/filth water on fans early in season
2. Keeping up with the Jones, investing and transporting your own sideline Benches
3. Rails literally falling off at home
5. Home games seem like road games

This entire organization is one fucking embarrassment

the only way I feel things change around here is if we draft a superstar type of QB. we need a guy that people will want to pay to see. we saw it in 2012. maybe to a lesser extent w/ Cousins at the end of 2015 - but we need a cornerstone type of guy that the city can gravitate to, the type of guy that can carry the team if needed. if we go out and get Mariota or Jimmy G it isn't going to change anything. we gotta get that guy in the draft., probably 2023 or beyond. .. :-(

Yup - and the current front office has not done anything to change it :(

Story of the game is simple IMO.

Can't sustain 60 minutes of football with an OL constituted of:
slow LT - 3rd string LG with bad hands - 3rd string center - Banged up RG - Back up RT

Unless of course you have Russel Wilson, Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes as your QB.
Which we don't.

Defense did as good as we could except considering they had no depth at DE, were playing LB David Mayo most of the game because Jamin Davis was obviously not 100%, had Danny Johnson (who I actually think is a quality depth guy) Reaves and Corn "the F did you come from" Edler out there for way too many snaps...

Fuller had a solid game. Settle, Allen and Ioannidis played well.

No points in the 2nd half. Defense played the same defense every damn play just about.

Great fucking coaching.

Not gonna say it was great defensive play calling, but in terms of personnel, who were they supposed to play ?
With Davis still not recovered from whatever illness he caught, playing your base 4-3-4 was not an option. So it was either Nickel 4-2-5 (enter Danny Johnson), or Dime 4-1-6 (enter Corn Edler), or the 5 man front 5-2-4, maybe they did a bit of 5-1-5 (not sure), but it's not like they had crazy depth at DE either, so very limited in what they could show in terms of personnel and rotation.

Rushing 4 all game didn't work. Hurts just sat back there or ran back there until someone was open. Barely got him on the ground all game. Gotta do something, even if its blitzing a CB or safety or something sometimes. We were 6-9, playing it conservative doesn't make much sense to me, even if limited by personel.

That's fair, and with the overall production by this D, I'm beginning to think JDR may not be the guy for us. Anyway we knew he was more an old school disciplinarian than a very creative mastermind.
I just felt watching that game like this D did ok considering who they had available.
