He needs to sit for 2 more years
Just glad this isn't our issue to deal with. The Browns constructed the contract where he makes peanuts this year (based on QB/NFL salaries). And everyone knows about it. So I think it might hurt Cleveland more in the long run by structuring it that way. NFL might suspend him longer than just this season, solely based on how little Watson makes this year. Not arguing if that is right or wrong, just estimating.
This Watson thing just keeps getting uglier. So glad he's the Browns mistake and not ours.

Yeah we were never the team to take that risk IMO. And it looks like a and more dangerous one by the minute...
Denver Broncos reach sale agreement; price tag is $4.65 billion, sources say (https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34055696/denver-broncos-reach-agreement-sale-walton-penner-family-ownership-group)
Time to cash out Danny, Washington could easily clear $5B

I agree he was likely off our radar and wisely so.

A lot of it comes down to how Mayfield reacts to it. If he puts his ego aside and plays as long as Watson is suspended in hope to get a good contract for another team, it'll ease it out for the Browns, if he says "f you I'm not playing a snap for ya trade me", the Browns will be in a very tough spot.

It's baffling that his worst case scenario is to walk away with $5B dollars.

I didn't realize how good the Vikings are annually

Not a bad return on investment considering he paid $800M in 1999
