Carroll sued Trump under a the Adult Survivors Act, a New York state law passed late last year, which gave adult victims of sexual assault and abuse one year to bring lawsuits against their alleged perpetrators regardless of when the alleged abuse took place.

It is good to see a woman actually be able to take a powerful man to court and actually get a minor victory. For far too long this would have been a slam dunk for a man to walk away unscathed. Hope there is more to come for more powerful corrupt men.
