MTK 04-29-2024, 11:45 AM No question his athleticism is off the charts... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GLsLoENW0AE2OPQ?format=jpg&name=medium skinsfaninok 04-29-2024, 12:08 PM For the first time since RG3 I'm actually EXCITED about a QB and the future of this team.. Its very Refreshing Chief X_Phackter 04-29-2024, 12:25 PM I don’t think he is going to sit either. But it scares me because of our tackles that’s all. Center and G’s Im better with than last year certainly. Our T’s scare the hell out of me. If the line implodes early and JD is getting knocked around I cant imagine a scenario like last year where we let it happen I get the concern for sure. However, last year we were last in the league in percentage of rushing plays, which was pathetic considering we were 7th in the league in yards per rush attempt. EB was a moron... Our Tackles were left on an island consistently last year, given no help - expected to pass block almost 70% of every game for a QB who couldn't get rid of the ball. A more balanced attack, a TE who can block and catch, along with the legit threat of a QB who can take it to the house will almost certainly help the O-line, especially the tackles. sdskinsfan2001 04-29-2024, 01:40 PM I wish Coleman played some RT in college. I'm fine w/ Lucas as a 1-year stop gap at LT, but I do NOT want to watch Rylie at RT again. That's the 1 position I'm hoping we still do something about before Game 1. sdskinsfan2001 04-29-2024, 01:42 PM 2025 mock draft: 1. OT or Outside CB 2. Outside CB or OT SkinsGuru 04-29-2024, 01:46 PM I wish Coleman played some RT in college. I'm fine w/ Lucas as a 1-year stop gap at LT, but I do NOT want to watch Rylie at RT again. That's the 1 position I'm hoping we still do something about before Game 1. I was hearing on one of the radio shows that they believe we are switching from a power blocking scheme to a zone blocking scheme and that the zone blocking scheme fits Wylie a TON better. If so, give him a chance to see what he can do in the scheme. He certainly didn't look that bad playing for KC and Mahommes. sdskinsfan2001 04-29-2024, 01:50 PM QB: Daniels RB: Robinson (Ekeler on 3rd downs) WR: McLaurin Slot: McCaffery LT: Lucas LG: Allegretti C: Biadasz RG: Cosmi RT: Wylie (unless Coleman can swing to RT, but that's a bit of an ask in 1 offseason) TE: Ertz (I think Sinnot starts by mid-season) WR: Dotson The OL still leaves a lot to be desired. sdskinsfan2001 04-29-2024, 01:52 PM I was hearing on one of the radio shows that they believe we are switching from a power blocking scheme to a zone blocking scheme and that the zone blocking scheme fits Wylie a TON better. If so, give him a chance to see what he can do in the scheme. He certainly didn't look that bad playing for KC and Mahommes. As the roster stands now, giving him a chance is not optional. He's definitely the starter right now and just hope he can play better than 2023, by any means necessary. KI Skins Fan 04-29-2024, 02:40 PM There is still plenty of time to pick up an interim LT by trade, salary dump, starters displaced by star rookies, etc. I think something will be done to improve the T situation this year. punch it in 04-29-2024, 02:43 PM I put most of the blame last year on EB's pathetic schemes and his unwillingness to run the ball, and SH for being inexperienced and just an overall slow and indecisive processor in the pocket. I pray to God your and Chiefs intuition is correct. Lol. |
