Eagles are a solid team. There is nothing to get all depressed about.
Our team is heading in the right direction, that is the most important thing.
It’s funny we were 7-2 team having not played any one of the top teams except Ravens and Pittsburg, and people became delusional.
Reality check: We are not yet to the level of Chiefs and Lions.
Before the game last night I was hoping we would win last night, but the realist in me said would would most likely lose. I felt the same way before Pittsburg game because of all of our injuries. No need to hang our heads.
Once we get Marshon starting the team might raise to another level for us. Not until then.

His passes were off man. That wasn't just the defense doing a good job either.

Concur re: the Eagles' defense. If Daniels had been truly healthy, we'd have seen a different player, and likely different outcomes, the past two games, regardless of the Steelers and Eagles being solid defensively. He couldn't step into his throw due to his ribs affecting him. I think he tweaked his ribs on Sunday.

Per JP Finlay via Ron Jaworski: More from @JawsCEOQB on Jayden Daniels : "I'm not seeing the same fast twitch. The injury is an issue....He's the best rookie QB I've ever seen but he wasnt last night...I look at the mechanics and they were off."

So ugly game after coming off an emotional and close game against the Steelers. We had a lead in the second half against both teams - teams that aren’t in year 1 of a rebuild like we are, and with a rookie QB. And teams that unlike WSH have had the rest of a bye week already.

We are definitely a few players away from consistently competing well against those teams, and even with last night’s implosion, you can see it. We had held the Eagles to 6 points at home through 3 quarters. That’s not a small achievement, although no moral victories in football.

We obviously need help in several areas - but I trust AP to fix it. He can’t do it all in one season but we are light years ahead of where we had any reasonable right to expect. With this leadership group, I feel we will get there.

Oh, and a fuck you to the Giants for giving Saquon to the Eagles. Nice job, dipshits. He’s a legit MVP candidate.

I saw this coming. You knew there was going to be a point in the season where we saw regression. The most important thing right now is are we competitive against some of the best teams. Yes we are. Last year? Nope. So I will take it year one of a rebuild.

JD needs to get healthy cause he obviously isn't. That injury is throwing him off no pun intended. It's pretty obvious on some of his throws he was not driving the ball. All upper body and sloppy footwork.

Yeah and how dumb are the Giants? How did those idiots think that was going to turn out w/ SaQuan running behind that line?

Our defense wasn’t the problem last night

People rightfully shitted all over the defense the first 4-5 week, they have better. More middle of the road than bottom half, that’s an improvement

I am actually feeling optimistic. I believe we are top 10-15 offense and defense right now. After what was left for this team in terms of talent, this is quite an accomplishment.

I dont think JD is hurt as bad as some are assuming.. He was off because Philly locked down Terry and he had nobody else to throw to..

every player on the eagles dline was running him down from behind, he was SLOW last night. He was faster and throwing better during the Bears game.
He has gotten progressively worse each game he played since the injury.
Then watch his arms. His left arm is kept right at his side most of the time, even during his throwing motions at times (not every time). That is why he is so inaccurate! If it were up to me we would roll with MM until after the bye. I think we would be fine and would win both games and JD would be in far better shape to take us to the playoffs and hopefully far into.

I don't understand anyone who has watched Daniels throughout the season come out and say, "It's the defense he played against," "He played like a rookie," etc. His play during a decent portion of the Steelers game and last night (versus the Eagles) tells me my eyes aren't lying, and Daniels is injured.

He's not elusive, no jerky jerky (on the run), questionable accuracy, and indecisive (the injury has him second guessing and playing slower than usual). The defense has been playing better since the beginning of the season, so I have a bit of faith in Mariota for a week or two. It'll also likely allow Kingsbury to open up his playbook as well.

We've come too far for this staff to muck this season away. They have time to right the ship and (hopefully) make the correct decisions.

I totally agree.

And can Chin get that extension already? What’s the hold up?

I think the faster than anticipated success for this team - whether it be because they are much better than last year, because they have played sub-par teams, or a combination of the two - may have raised my expectations to a level higher than what they should be. I think that's a good thing though. I'd rather have high expectations for this team that sometimes aren't met, than no expectations at all.

I expected them to win one of these last two games, and thought they had a decent chance to win both. It turns out they didn't win either, but I still think they had a pretty good chance to win both of them. They just have to learn how to be closers...

They could still win out, but they could also go 3-3. The toughest game will be the Eagles rematch, but none of them will be "easy". I imagine these last two losses will leave a bad taste in their mouths, but they have an opportunity to get a little healthier over the next 10 days. Then they have an opportunity to show us and themselves what they are made of down the stretch. Even if it's a wildcard berth, that's significant progress. If it's a division title, that's more than any of us could have hoped for this year.

they have already exceeded my expectations.. if we just beat the teams we are supposed to beat that's over 10 wins .. once playoffs starts anything can happen ..

You play around with this site and predict the season and the playoffs all the way to the superbowl. It would take a complete collapse for us not to finish at least 10-7. 3-3 finish seems doable. Beating Dallas, Tennessee and New Orleans. I think we sweep Dallas, so that's a 4-2 finish.
