GAME. DAY. BABY!
I hope we show up on the short week. I hope we have game planned well and make Jordan Love look more like what I think he is which is a slightly above average Qb with potential to improve. I don't know why I don't fear GB the way a lot of ppl do.... sure they are an above average team but they have weaknesses. They can be beaten. I hope we are ready to show that tonight. Sloppy goiants game but sound overall - i hope we keep learning and growing through the season. A loss wont make me panic but... i really want a win tonight.

Both teams have a short week so toss that out the window. This game I feel sets the tone to show last year was not a fluke. We play them tough and pull off a win. 27to21

This would be a huge win. I think everyone is pretty much expecting the Packers to win. JD5 and this team need to change that narrative.

Short week will favor the home team, at least a bit. I think the Packers are a very good team -- they had stretches last year where they were dominant (and others where they were solid but not spectacular), but they don't have a lot of obvious weaknesses. The pass rush is improved with Parsons (obviously) but Gary and Van Ness are quite good too, and they've got a very good back in Jacobs, good young WRs, and an above average O line. And they're well coached.
They beat the Lions with disciplined play -- they didn't rack up a ton of yards (Love threw for 188 and Jacobs ran for 66); their defense won that game with 4 sacks and holding a very good Detroit rushing attack to 46 yards (although getting out ahead early helped).
If we can score some points early and negate the pass rush, like we did last week, this is a winnable game. But we will need to eliminate the dumb penalties and not turn the ball over. I hope they come out with a bit of a chip on their shoulders since everyone is picking GB to win.
Would be a huge statement win. Fingers crossed.

They better give the rookie some help over on the right side. Don't leave him out there by himself against Parsons.

I'm not going to make a prediction, but if we're going to pull off the win, it has to be a much more disciplined effort than what we saw last week, for sure. We had 12 penalties last week, GB had four. Gotta figure out a way to make that more equal if not in our favor.
For me, the key will be whether or not we can run the ball, and that includes JD. I think there's just too much to defend if we have some early success doing that.
It could turn into a shootout - whoever has the ball last wins. I'd probably give the slight edge to GB just because it's a short week and they are at home and didn't have to travel.
Should be a fun game!

i like our offense to shake off some rust and our defense to make it difficult on GB and for us to pull out the win

Yep, Bates needs to be out there the majority of the game.

It's hard not to sound dismissive of GB, but our team is built for GB and Philly. I don't understand the lopsided analyst picks at all, so I am hoping that it is the presumed bias of being on the road and a "old" washington team vs the young GB team.
I definitely expect to see JD5 magic at some point tonight.
My best guess:
Wash 34
GB 24
