O-Line and ST questions

I understand the knock against Brown being his age, but the way I understand it, or atleast the way I read it on the WashingtonPost when Brown re-signed, was that the coaching staff is grooming him to eventually become an assistant O-line coach. So yeah Brown is old and not really the ideal player one would want on the field but if he has value to teach and help the younger players then I agree that we should keep him...

Basically I feel to sum up the original questions: Why we haven't gone after the other two top free agent tackles is another question of economics and need. Verba is exactly what aprius says he is, a starter at tackle. We don't need someone sucking those resources up just to sit the bench. Would I want him if another Jansen-accident happened? Of course. I'd rather take the chance now, rather than pay for it in more ways than one later.

And I'm not directing testosteron-y to one person in particular, I was just pointed out that the dong-swinging has gotten mighty dangerous in here.

I can see this thread is going nowhere. Time to throw away the key on this one.
