The passing windows are hard to get used to, and it doesn't help that Ramsey's cone is so small. What I do like is the running game, easier to run up the middle as lineman actually hold their blocks and the fullback doesn't run past linebackers as much anymore.

the vision is hard as sh*t. when i do franchise most of the redskins go down over a few seasons. campbell cant go up fo rme he just keeps going down. rogers will get up to like an 84 but then go back down. the progression in this new game is weird. i got to season 4 or 5 by simulating and there were like 20 90's left in the game

around my sixth game i got it, it is a lot of fun trying to do it. It just needs some practice and as of right now no one is amazing at it. It is hard to move the cone but for xbox by pushing R plus the receiver then just the receiver the cone will move to the player and then throw it. It takes an extra half a second to push R and the receiver but that is what is new about it. One thing is on Defense we can see where the QB is looking making it even harder to adjust to the new system for offense

guys the vision can make or break you in the passing game. The thing I like the most about it is that if you want to send one of your speedsters on a go route, you don't have to lob it up in the air to put it over their shoulder. You can fling the ball hard so that they don't have to wait for it and still place it in front of your man. And if the defender is in front you can hit them in the feet.
The running game is awesome because all the linemen actually block like they should, and a defense will bite on situational trickerey. I remember in the old madden it seemed like if you lined up in a 4 wide set on 3rd and 8 and picked a draw play they would always stack the box. The AI is more realistic. I've also noticed that you cant maul recievers while their on their routes anymore. This should make things a lot more interesting.
I can't wait to play it online, but that'll probably be a few days.
As far as player progression goes you can practice to make them better. Go to gameplan and practice the 3 situations and get the most points possible and your stuff will go up.

Im not going to turn it off, I want to learn the new way of playing. I wanted a challenge and boy did they give me one. I havent played it much. I had it on the defaul difficutly. Which translates to me always winning, but only because of the running game.
Im surprised no one has said anything about the defensive controls being different. Its driving me nuts. I was so used to the old way. I keep hitting the wrong button to sprint/switch players. I prefered X as the button that switches you to the closest player becuase I would use it on kick offs and immedialy hit the hit stick. And its easier to go from X to R than O to R. (For PS2)

I played it 3 times last night (After the Angels pounded the Athletics ) and won them all.
I beat the Cowboys ,Steelers and the Giants. Are D kicks ass. And I did get some big plays out of Moss. Gardner (drop it like it hot) made some plays as well. I like how you can change the direction of the run before the snap. But the passing cones will take some time to get used to. I had 3 pic's all when I tried to throw outside the passing cone. I think by next week I should be pretty good at it. #47 triangle other wise known as Chris Cooley came up huge on goal line and short yardage he scored 4 td's! (player of the game againts the G-men). I must say the hot route feature is pretty sweet as well.
So far I would give the game an A. :biggthump

Yeah, at first I didn't know if it was just me being used to playing ESPN 2k5, because I had recently played both that and Madden 05. I still Keep switching players when I want to sprint. That kind of throws me off. But I'll get used to it. Hopefully I can get LIVE set up within the next month or so.

i was top 500(at a time when there were like 100000 people) in the 05 on xbox and i promise i didn't cheat
I never played madden on XBOX because I got stupid direcway and it uploads at like 28.8. But when I had a cable modem I played ESPN 2k4 on there and if i played enough games I was usually in the top 10-20 out of 20,000+. I don't know how that'll relate to madden, especially with over 100,000 players, but I'm excited to find out. Its hard to get people I know to sit down and play with me.

i just finished a game with a qb rating of 1.7. I went like 1 for 11 with 1 int for the game. I have like 150 rushing yards though and lost 13 to 7
