Glad to see he is doing good. Wasn't he the biggest player of his era? What was he 6'6 280-290 that is pretty much below average.

Dave Butz was the man. He may have retired in 87 but when you look at him he looks like he came from another era. Yeah and he wen't to Purdue Go Boilermakers! He had the face of a barbarian on the body of a bigger barbarian.

Couldn't find any old rosters w/ his height weight, but I thought he was one of the first good over 300lbs guys - him and Jacoby

Do you guys remember his helmet? Man, his helmet was covered in scratches and dings, it looked like he steped out of an automobile accident or something. One time I saw a little scat back try to run up the middle and he literally disappeared into Dave Butz. Those were the days.

I loved DB back in the day, I was just going to post about his scratched up helmet but you beat me to it... how badass was that?!
