Panthers 10-6: This defense is great when healthy. Perhaps the best D-line in the league. I think Delhomme is good enough to lead the team to some victories (they don't need a pro bowl QB on this team). Steve Smith is awesome, and I kinda like Kheary Colbert (and Gardner really isn't a bad #3). The running game could be by committee.......which might not be terrible if that committee is made up of Foster, Davis and their rookie Shelton. If healthy (HUGE "IF") Foster and Davis are good enough to scare most defenses at least a little. I see them battling with the Falcons for the division.
Falcons 10-6: I believe Vick is overrated in terms of being a QB, but not in terms of being a difference maker and the heart-and-soul of this offense. The WR situation (i.e. lack of a true #1) may cost them dearly in games that are otherwise close due to their strong defense and running game. Fortunately for them old-faithful Alge Crumpler is there to pose a threat that defenses have to guard against.
Saints 8-8: One word sums it up: Underachieving. Haslett is a terrible coach. Period. Any half-decent coach would have had this team in the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years minimum. Brooks is probably too dumb to be a quality QB in the NFL.....which is a shame because he's got all the other tools. He's also got some great weapons in Horn, Duece and Stallworth (looking for a breakout year). The defense is looking better (at least the secondary is), but still not good enough to win games unless the offense scores 24+ points consistently.
Bucs 6-10: Bucs are still buiding offense and watching their defense degrade year-by-year. I like Michael Clayton and Cadillac........and.....well that's about it on offense. On defense, they are still a respectable D, but they need to address some aging veterans. They just don't scare anyone like they used to. Griese? Flip a coin to decide how he'll be this year.
