I'm not going to talk about shit about Jacobs because I'll be itching to see the people who change their tune if/when he comes back and lights it up.
You know we talk about him always being injured,(rightfully so, I might add) but even healthy, he never actually lit anything up. I'd have to cut him. I'd have cut him before McCants. Potential can only hold a roster spot for so long. Dyson has experience and can play adequately enough to be a strong 4th wideout. Hell he'd be a strong 3rd option. You gotta keep rock, because he's always done everything he was asked to do and done it well. Nemo, because you don't want him on any other teams. Ade would probably be #2 because the guy couldn't cover if he was made of blankets. He's a career Special Teamer.
I'm sorry guys, but conventional thinking in the NFL doesn't have teams cutting former 2nd round picks after just two seasons because they've had some bad luck with injuries.
Jacobs has all the talent to be a very good WR. He's more talented than McCants and he's been praised for his work ethic, something that McCants will probably never receive praise for.
I guess work ethic is overrated with some people. Maybe that kind of player cut it under former coaching staffs, but not with this one. I'm putting my trust in this staff who sees these players up close and personal and knows a heck of alot more about these guys than we do.
If Jacobs is still in the same boat at this time next year, then it's time to start looking to cut the cord. But after two seasons? Definitely not.

I'd disagree that dyson would be a good #3... thrash is a good #3, jacobs COULD be a good #3, dyson is an average #4 at best.

I think Ade has got to stay. The man hits hard on special teams and is a Gibbs type of player.
Both Rock and Nemo are very valuable in different ways. Nemo provides smashmouth on interior runs and short yardage, while Rock combines quickness, toughness, and pass catching ability.
Jacobs injuries make him a liability but I'm afraid if we release him that some other team will find him useful. Give him one more year.
Dyson does have veteran leadership, but we also get that from Patten and Thrash. He'll probably end up getting released.
Cut Ade JaBlows

Look Dyson is not more than roster fodder and is washed up. But playing offense, its very hard to actually give up touchdowns (unless you're Ramsey). Every time that Ade JaBlows steps onto the field, you and I and every other Skins fan is thinkt the exact same thing:
"Please don't throw it to whomever JaBlows is covering, cause that's an automatic 6."
The guy gets beat worse than a marching band drum. Heck, even good ole, 50-50, the Rod Gobbler torched him and we all know that he sucks.
And this myth that JaBlows is a good special teamer is totally false. I sit on his sideline during kick-offs and the guy always does one of four things -- get pancake blocked, leave his lane like a fool and create a hole, get a stupid penalty or over-run the returner.
I say good riddance to bad rubbish.

You should add Rufus Brown to that list...
For some crazy reason I'll defer to our coaching staff when it comes to Jimoh.
He's managed to stick year after year.
He's obviously doing something right.
