im tired of hearing that excuse. ramsey is making stupid decisions. his intereceptions are his fault, they are throws college QB's dont try to make. you can blame spurrier for ramsey being shellshocked. but the bad decision? no. its time for ramsey to step up. no more excuses for him.

Your title is a bit deceptive.
"One of the most surprising things I found with bad decisions is that it doesn't take many bad decisions on a percentage basis to separate the best QBs in the league from the worst. Peyton Manning was one of the best decision makers last year, ranking third in the league, averaging only two bad decisions per 100 passes. Patrick Ramsey was one of the worst, ranking 30th in the league, yet he averaged only about five bad decisions per 100 passes."
That's the pro game in a nutshell, tiny mistakes and differences making a huge impact on a team's record. All it takes in the NFL is those 3 extra bad decisions to cause a team to consistently lose. PR's decision making may get a little better but he will never approach PM's ability which is why PR will never be more than a servicable QB that will have to work very hard not to lose games for his team.

3% is 3 bad passes every 2-3 games, meaning up to 12-16 more ints for the bad decision makers (if dbs could catch).

It is very interesting to evaluate Ramsey's decision making from this particular metric system. I recognized from his first season with the Redskins that he would determine his own destiny through his comprehension of reading defenses and making the appropiate decision. If we look at his first year with the team, and his best game in preseason against the Steelers, it is clear that he is not efficient and still struggles to make the appropiate decision and locate the open receiver. The TD to Cooley could have gone either way because Cooley was covered. However, Mike Sellers was wide open and Ramsey decided to throw the ball into coverage. I'm sure Gibbs discussed this and other issues with Ramsey. If you notice, when Brunell comes off of the field, Ramsey is right their to greet him. If Gibbs, Musgrave, and Brunell can't teach him, it will be very difficult for him to land a starting position on another team.
