Every else doen't know what they're talking about, but somehow you do? This thread has gone soo far off topic now :( the downgrade from brunell to ramsey is minor, I personally think its a downgrade, but at this point can we just see what happens? I personally don't know anymore than anyone else on this website and I was not saying I do, but my point is that Joe Gibbs does know more. I hope you don't take this the wrong way but when Joe Gibbs was in his heyday you were much to young to have any emotional attachment to him. I grew up loving Joe Gibbs. I think that is the major difference of opinion on this website when it comes to gibbs. The members in their 30's or older who remember the good days are much more patient with the current Gibbs era, whereas the fans in thier 20's have no emotional attachment to Gibbs and just want results imediately. I am not saying that's necessarily wrong either. I just personally believe that Gibbs is going to turn this around eventually and I am not going to throw him under the bus over the benching of one average player for another. skinsguy 09-15-2005, 09:15 PM I personally don't know anymore than anyone else on this website and I was not saying I do, but my point is that Joe Gibbs does know more. I pretty much agree with that, although I understand there are a few exceptions to that rule. Overall, I do believe the majority of those 30 and older have more of an attachment to Gibbs than those 20 and under...again with exceptions to that rule. Ramsey fans want Ramsey to succeed more than anything else, Gibbs fans want Gibbs to succeed as well. Hopefully, our "attachments" to coaches or players won't let us forget the fact that our main goal should be for our team to win football games..regardless as to who the players are and who the coaches are. jgalecpa 09-15-2005, 09:23 PM I personally don't know anymore than anyone else on this website and I was not saying I do, but my point is that Joe Gibbs does know more. I agree. People kept talking about PR vs MBand kept mentioning PR won more games last year than MB. Till it was pointed out they both won -3-. If I'm not mistaken, Three is also number of Superbowls won by coach gibbs. Joe has more wins under his belt than Games PR is likely to ever play in. I know what I don't know. I know I don't know 1/100th as much as Gibbs does about football. He also knows a heck of a lot about people management than I do. Look what he did with his Nascar team. I'm MORE than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. STPainmaker 09-15-2005, 09:32 PM I agree. I've said it 10 times since the "switch" but Gibbs is the best thing we got, and he has won championships with relatively untalented QB's. QB's who couldn't hack it elsewhere now should I be questioning Gibbs or Ramsey??? He is so unimpressed with this guy right now he turned to ol Lefty McPickoff this has to mean something, right??? ladyfan06 09-16-2005, 09:21 AM Giggity, Giggity Giggity! You can see the up side to Ramsey, he just has to put it all together. D-Mac was good but just never tried very hard in practice and putting in extra work. I like the Brunell move though, we can't afford the TO's. Ramsey if you learn to throw the ball away when nothing is there and move in the pocket just a little better. You can be a beast. But will HE???????? |
