This is a project for one of my classes, we have to work with a local business and create a website for them. The business I'm doing is a coffee shop/internet cafe, pretty cool place with plasma TVs, free wireless internet, etc.

This is the homepage so far, I'm just looking for some feedback. Thanks!

I like the design. Simple and elegant. I think Caffe should be Cafe.

I like the look. good choice of colors and background as well. it'd be even sweeter if u somehow hide the skins logo somewhere on the site :biggthump

Caffe is the way they spell it for some reason, it's not a typo

I like it, thats actually a really good design. Its simple, but looks niice. Open that place for real by my house :). In all seriousness though, it looks good and seems like it would be a site that is easy to navigate, which is always a plus.

One more suggestion. Down at the bottom you have their "catch phrase" "Where coffee is an art". I think that should be placed just below the logo at the top.

I realy like the layout. The only question I have is this a site to sell their products or mainly to promote the shop? The reason I ask if it is to sell their product you may want to do more to attract the buyer to shopping area. Like have a flavor of the day or special of the week. This would attract the buyer into the shopping area.

Overall, the design works great. Colors go together well.

Just something from a former designer's perspective: Do you have any way to left-align but still center the "products"? It's easier for people to read left to right rather than jump from the end of a word that's longer than the word below.

And make it bigger

i'd consider left aligning the menu and putting it on the left side of the page, putting it as a center column makes it slightly more confusing. Looks good though.
