Good Game, Except...

We gashed our own eyes and took a baseball bat to our nuts. I did like how the team didn't quit fighting. I'll take the 3-1 and look forward to next week, which is a must win now that they dropped this one.

I completely agree, I loved the fact we got a touchdown that last drive, too bad we couldn't convert.

That was a tough situation, though. I mean he could've hit royal in front and tried to see if he could fight for the ball, but you'd never expect a LB to be able to jump and tap that ball and he had a man in the back of the endzone wide open. just a couple of more inches and we're in OT.

The reality is we were going to suffer a loss. This loss I can swallow and I can seriously see us rebounding next week against KC. This was Brunell's best game offensively and it's kind of a shame because Portis and Moss both contributed over 100yds. Man, what a loss. Now let's take it out on KC.

all brunell had to do was scramble it in for the td...he had so much room!!!!

My view is if Brunell broke for the endzone, the only problem was the guy that was covering Royal was right in front of him, and Royal really wasn't in a good blocking position.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda I guess.

I was thinking the same thing BUT the play wasn't designed for that I guess and maybe it benefitted us in the long run, maybe he would've gotten hit hard and got injured? It was a good effort and I'm pretty sure had that ball not been tipped, Patten would've had it in his hands. As odd as it sounds....I'm excited about next week. We're progressively getting better.

Patten was WIDE OPEN. It was a well designed play. GOld just got a hand on it. One second longer, and GOld is out of the play covering the TE and Patten converts easily. Oh, well. Like Matty said: COulda, SHoulda, Woulda.

As I saw it, Brunnell would not have scored running--They have a fast D.

I was thinking, since we are talking if's....we didn't have a procedure penalty on the 54 yd field goal, we would have won the game....IF we didn't consistently kill ourselves with poor tackling, we would have won the game...the list goes on...they played tough in a hostile environment and horrid weather, need to rebound next week and find a way to win against KC.
