WOW! So much for Gibbs being too conservative eh?

I had no doubts about us getting the offense together this year. It was just a matter of when. We can all look at Gibbs track record. The man is a winner. This was bound to happen. Others fail to remember that Gibbs was the architect of the most prolific offense the NFL had ever seen until Randy Moss came into the league with the Vik's. I can't think of a team that was ranked that high in both offense and defense. Question: Out of the superbowl winning teams. What team had the highest rank offense and defense for that super bowl year.

I would not have expected such a fast rise in such little time. Its amazing how a couple of plays (Moss's catches at Dallas) can turn thing around so quickly. Patten even had some nice catches against the 49er's and if he can keep improving each game watch out.

This is unbelievable. At the beginning of the year, the Skins couldn't buy a touchdown, now they are ranked #2! The Skins are still not getting any respect from the national press. They have to go and beat the Giants and Eagles and earn respect. They REALLY, REALLY have to make a statement against the G-Women.

Wow, and we were worried because we did not make a splash that big in the free agent market this year. We have some solid to very good talent, but keeping the bulk of the team together and sacrificing only a few I think reall helped this team being in the system and working together for two years together, and these guys just want to win at the sacrifice of individual stats, but their mentality I have to believe is helping us statistically as well. If we win in a convincing manner this week and we are clicking on all cylinders this should not be close. If we can limit no turnovers and take away two we walk away and the stats will come with it. The win was dominant last week, but the 14 points off turnovers put us way up in all categories to include the score.

On O Portis runs for two TD's and when they try to stop the run Brunell, Moss, Patten, Thrash beat them through the air and we win by 14 points.

Im still a little worried about our ability to score in the redzone on defenses that aren't at the bottom of the league. However, one big positive I've seen is that every game we've improved, not the inconsistancy one week to another we're used to seeing.
Well, fortunately, we play against another bottom of the league defense this week!
It really irks me how the national press is just so full of Ellie and his LUCKY win, that they seem to be ignoring that fact that their defense gives up a [boat]load of yards and points.
The Skins will win this Sunday by 10 or more...

The 2 most important games of the season :

(1) Dallas - got us over the cowboys curse (which got us over the nfc east curse) and helped build the confidence to able to win any game no matter how terrible the performance or how many points down.
(2) San Francisco - helped to convince us that we are on another level offensively and also helped to attain a comfort level between the players and the coaches' play calling.

Having said that - in New York - the first few plays and possessions are key to the game and maybe the next big step we take. If we get on a roll (like I know we can offensively), the teams' confidence level will be sky high, and despite "the fly under the radar" theory, I think the redskins confidence this sesason is what is sparking the redskins' success.

If it was not for those two plays and Dallas would have won. I think it would have realy taken the wind out of this team and we may have never recoverd from.

hopefully we'll get our turnover ratio up.

Being ranked 2nd and 4th...that sounds like the type of team that would make a super bowl run... :)
