Skins will need to run the table now to make the playoffs, they'll have to take 5 of 6 at least. I doubt that's possible especially now with the injuries starting to pile up.

All of these rebuilding years seem to lead to nothing but more rebuilding. MTK 11-21-2005, 09:22 AM At this point I'm hoping for 9-7, that actually wouldn't be a bad thing considering our horrible turnover ratio and general inconsistency on both sides of the ball. 12thMan 11-21-2005, 09:24 AM Nah, we're a .500 ballclub that will have to rebuild next year. All of these rebuilding years seem to lead to nothing but more rebuilding. I beg to differ...I think we're more like an 11-5 - 10-6 ballclub with a few correctable deficiencies. I know it's late in the year to start talking about "correctables", but we'll see how this thing plays out. Red Robert 11-21-2005, 09:24 AM Gotta ride with Matty, If we win 5 of our last 6 to get to (10-6) We have a shot. I think we have a better chance of getting in winning the division than getting a wild card birth. We still have a solid conference record. We can and will get in. It is not how you start it is how you finish. I am a homer but I refuse to believe we will not turn this around and make some noise. We are so close. Keep the faith brothers!! irish 11-21-2005, 09:24 AM Skins will need to run the table now to make the playoffs, they'll have to take 5 of 6 at least. You got it Matty, anything less than 5 of 6 wont get the job done. 12thMan 11-21-2005, 09:26 AM Suppose, just suppose we win the rest of our games. That's right, go undefeated here on out - can we make the playoffs?? But, we're a team with a very old coaching staff and a QB on his last hoorah. I say we give this group one more season then start an across-the-board youth movement. We all know it's something we need to do. Otherwise, we'll have another 10 years of less-than-average football in the D.C. area. 12thMan 11-21-2005, 09:36 AM I hope you're right. But we have a lot of youth on the ballclub. I don't think any wholesale changes are warranted. Consider the following are really young: S.Moss Cooley Portis Rabach Marshall Taylor C.Rogers Lavar (what 27ish) I think we can mix some younger guys in with this group. But I hear what you're saying - one more and no more!! |
