| Re: Proposal for National ID (Acronym: BELIEVE) Also, the cynic/conspiracy theorist in me finds it interesting that we have had the Believe campaign in inner cities for a while, then Pres Obama ran on Believe, and now, Believe represents a national ID system that is seemingly very intrusive. |

A green card has complete biometric data so I am not sure if this is any different. Honstly, this isn't as bad as it is made out to be. As of national ID for citizens, well, I have a passport so I guess I'm fine with that being my national ID. If they want to have another national ID I'm fine with that too but it should be optional and all states must accept it as a form of ID.

| Re: Proposal for National ID (Acronym: BELIEVE) I don't like this proposal for the sole reason that I'd have to trust the Government with even more personal data on me...not that they don't have it already, but this would make it easier for them to access it. All that needs to be done is simple enforcement of existing immigration laws. We do not need to burden those here legally, just go after those who aren't. This is another attempt to be too friendly to those who are breaking the law and aren't supposed to be here.
