Good thing most of numnuts on the GOP side aren't of better quality than Obama. I pray Huntsman comes through.
Quality of course being a relative term. I'm not convinced any of them on either side of the aisle are worth a darn anymore.

His inability to do what he's says he's going to do will be his downfall. If he has no plans to do any of those things he says, he doesn't need to say he's going to do them.

Caving to the GOP? Is that leadership? Hardly. Civil liberties is a huge issue with me, and not standing up for the American people is spineless to say the least. Obama has zero credibility with me.

In fact, Jon Huntsman and Ron Paul agree to some extent about the wars. President Obama doesn't believe in torture, neither does Ron Paul. President Obama wants to close Gitmo and so does Ron Paul and John McCain and John Huntsman, I might add.

Now where they differ, and Ron Paul hasn't been completely clear on this, is how to execute the war on terror and sending foreign aid to some of our allies, which has always been a staple of good diplomacy.

Look, the idea that America with all of it's vast military resources and diplomatic clout around the globe will completely stay out other countries business is foolish thinking and probably not in our long term interests when it comes to a range of issues. If our intervention in Libya can keep the price of oil from spiking globally and keep inflation in check here at home, then I'm all for a measured response and a judicious use of our military capability.
I just heard on the news that some of the troops coming home from Iraq will not be here long because they will be headed to Afganistan.

Well as I said before, I could care less about the War on Christmas. I find both sides to be ridiculous. Non-believers are making other non-believers look petty while the religious-right tries to spin it as malicious religious persecution. Nobody wins the War on Christmas. And most importantly the atheist are putting at risk the virtually automatic time off that everyone gets on the 25th and in many cases the 24th.

Now as for the picture. Cross predominantly displayed in front of a government building doesn't sit well with the secular side of me. Regardless of the message. The message itself is relatively interesting but the venue is inappropriate.

Only Congress has the power to declare war on Christmas. It's in The US Constitution.

lol nice

Christmas is all about money now period. Its about making bottomlines. Same people that bitch about a culture war on christmas rather sit in lines to get $500 tv than show up for church or mass on christmas day. Hypocricy is seriously our country's most entertaining value.

No need to wage war on xmass...let the christians celebrate thier pagan festival. Also, I can understand kids getting gifts but adults exchanging gift of similar value? Seems stupid.

Remember, cash is king... give a gift card.

Speak for yourself. Me and several others have worked all week to get food, gifts, paid a families rent, etc.. to help them through christmas. While doing this I have found a whole network of people trying to help people and it has made Christmas that much more special this year.

That is really great FD and it brings the true meaning to the holiday.

Charity and giving is awesome, i guess when people call it other things it invokes different reactions. But come'on Money, materialism > sweet baby jesus in this country all day long

Actually I did not mean for that post to sound like the "me" post as it did. Our Club decided to give $ to needy families in our area. What I was trying to point out was how many people where actually networking to help families in our area. We see the people out shopping around but what's not seen are all the people helping others in tough times.

I think you know, but i was completely kidding. And youre completely right the people that want to make a point by getting the right to put a skelton Santa on a cross in front of a courthouse are crazy and are fing up their own cause.

Christmas may be the most material of all the holidays, but its probably also the most charitable holiday (Thanksgiving up there?).
