Americans Elect; What are you colors?

Thought this was a pretty neat website. Its still in the beta stage but sounds pretty promising, maybe in a couple months we can see if its working out.

I think the idea is for it to be like a dating website for politicians and their constituents….. I know sounds pretty gross at first. You answer questions on major American themes like; Economy, Energy, Foreign Policy, Social Issues, Education and Healthcare and weight each themes importance to you and in theory this website is supposed to help find what candidate is best for you and potentially even help determine what candidates get nominated.

I think this might help a lot of younger people or previously disinterested people characterize whats important to them and help facilitate the selection of candidates that represent your values. I also think part of the whole idea behind it is to break down party lines and make people less affiliated with a political party and become more affiliated with the individual candidate that’s fits and represents your values. It reminds me a little of a thread I started a while back about picking the core elements for the Contract From America:

(Contract From America)http://www.thewarpath.net/debating-with-the-enemy/35282-contract-from-america.html

Either way at this stage the website is still in beta and you don’t really get all that much out of it right now, but it seems promising. Worth checking out in my opinion.

U4Prez is pretty cool. You join, join a party , make your own, or go indie. You debate others, and people vote on who wins the debates. The more debates you win, the more primaries you probably will win, etc. It is a rather neat sight just to exchange ideas at worst.
