What an idiot. The reason our economy is so damn beast and runs the effing world is the education of woman and their production in the workplace. If only the rest of the world would figure out gender equality and the education of woman leads to higher standards of livings.

Kids have always been kids. criminals have always been criminals, there has always been poor, rich, smart, stupid etc... This is another interesting topic entirely. But just because a time period has changed doesnt mean we have, just a criteria of how we define and how the world has evolved around those born into it.

Our education has fallen behind, not because of women.

This appears to be the quote. I am curious why you think he is blaming women......
Or is it that you think both parents working outside the home is a good thing for kids?
We are not falling behind educationally to the rest of the world?
AND a host of other ills, probably accurately laid at the feet of no parents at home......

Bryant was participating in a Washington Post Live event focused on the importance of ensuring that children read well by the end of third grade. In response to a question about how America became "so mediocre" in regard to educational outcomes, he said: "I think both parents started working. The mom got in the work place."

Is it the fault of women? Of course not. Does it coincide with the advent of both parents working outside the home (or single parents that work)?
Probably.

i follow you and fd now. yeah the way your saying it makes sense and now I see what fd is getting at, but I dont think id still link a woman specifically with that task. Probably leaving out his last line little smarter. Quote of course was blown up, but still got to kinda get up to date on his thinking.

My "beloved" governor could look at education funding cuts which he championed as a reason for educational decline...but why do that when you can just blame women?

He is the same person who, when a referendum to grant personhood to fertilized eggs was shot down, compared those who voted against the referendum with Satan. Like many Republicans, he is no friend of women.

Our government pretty much condones and promotes criminal activity. What it doesn't like and doesn't want is people exposing crimes.

IRS chief: Inappropriate screening was broad

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Internal Revenue Service's screening of groups seeking tax-exempt status was broader and lasted longer than has been previously disclosed, the new head of the agency said Monday.

An internal IRS document obtained by The Associated Press said that besides "tea party," lists used by screeners to pick groups for close examination also included the terms "Israel," ''Progressive" and "Occupy." The document said an investigation into why specific terms were included was still underway.

In a conference call with reporters, Danny Werfel said that after becoming acting IRS chief last month, he discovered wide-ranging and improper terms on the lists and said screeners were still using them. He did not specify what terms were on the lists, but said he suspended the use of all such lists immediately.

"There was a wide-ranging set of categories and cases that spanned a broad spectrum" on the lists, Werfel said. He added that his aides found those lists contained "inappropriate criteria that was in use."

Next up: Government lies to its people. Shock, horror......

It's not just the politicians either. Both of these people should be disbarred for life from practicing law.

Re: Has Anyone Else Completely Lost Faith In The Government?

So much government fail in one single Yahoo article, Yahoo!
Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) — An American citizen who is a member of al-Qaida is actively planning attacks against Americans overseas, U.S. officials say, and the Obama administration is wrestling with whether to kill him with a drone strike and how to do so legally under its new stricter targeting policy issued last year.

The CIA drones watching him cannot strike because he's a U.S. citizen and the Justice Department must build a case against him, a task it hasn't completed. [so why is the administration wrestling at all, they don't even have a complete case]

Four U.S. officials said the American suspected terrorist is in a country that refuses U.S. military action on its soil[so drone strikes into a country who denies military action(and we are not at war with) is ok?] and that has proved unable to go after him. And President Barack Obama's new policy says American suspected terrorists overseas can only be killed by the military, not the CIA, creating a policy conundrum for the White House.[italicized comments are mine obviously]
The article goes on, and I am sure this guy probably means harm to US citizens, but it's a bit outrageous, with all the different ways the government has to get a guilty verdict if it wants one, that they aren't going to at the very least put him on trial in absentia.
