There was a specific goal: eliminate fees, and a specific course of action directly relevant to that goal: take your money out of a bank that imposes fees. Simple, easy and direct.

Right now, as Lotus eloquently pointed out earlier and others have reiterated, OWS simply has not articulated a goal that can be accomplished - not a simple one, not a complex one. Rather, right now, it is just people complaining about problems and that is not, and has never been, an effective way to protest.

I figured if that type of debate was good for you guys, then I should follow suit. Hey, you're lucky I kept it simple. I was going to ramble about you all being most likely racist since you like to stereotype people. Generally those that like to stereotype usually end up being racists as well. See how stupid that sounds? I agree. Let's stop the stereotyping going on in here. Thanks in advance.

Group hug?

Not trying to prove any point. Just found it comical

Try reading this:

BBC News - The start of something new?

Now. Look at this media compared to the trash you guys are looking at. Now you see why I have such disdain for corporate media in America?
Strangely enough, every time I type in "Who is in OWS" or something similar I get a wide range of opinions from a variety of outlets; some just as blatantly slanted in the other direction - to read them you would believe that everyone in the OWS is a college graduate and that the park is a true utopia of clean living occupied by philosopher kings/queens.

Yes. Some media outlets cater to certain crowds. As I said earlier, the facts are out there and they show that OWS is made up of both the educated and the stupid; of free loaders and truly disenfranchised; and of people with high ideals and others with somewhat baser instincts. Which groups are emphasized depend on what channel you tune in.

I am all for a group hug but want to make sure we first have a concrete, detailed plan for the time, place and duration of the hug and an equally detailed action plan for the post hug debate.

I'm bringing rubber bullets to the group hug.

Meanwhile group hugging...over 75% of mutual funds(most of the countries 401ks) are down and bankers are still managing record bonuses. usually when my company performs poorly, I dont get a bonus, like most people. So it makes sense right? Baby boomers are struggling to retire, but Wall Street bankers get record bonuses? Guess we dont deserve an explination.

Meanwhile Exxon doing great DIRECTLY because of higher prices at the pump:

Exxon Mobil Profit Tops $10 Billion on Crude Oil Price Surge - Businessweek

i guess its easier just to blame obama

Re: 'Occupy' types

i agree with chico, but most people dont know what to do about it. record amounts of money being made by the top 1%, while the middle to lower classes are really struggling.
