Proper context from Huff Post:

"Ironically, Mitt Romney's father George, the one-time governor of Michigan, met with Alinsky in 1967 to ask his advice about addressing the racial turmoil following that summer's Detroit riots. "I think you ought to listen to Alinsky," the liberal Republican advised his political allies (see T. George Harris' Romney's Way, 1968). "It seems to me that we are always talking to the same people. Maybe the time has come to hear new voices." When this anecdote surfaced earlier this year on the right-wing blogosphere, conspiracy-minded extremists used it as evidence that Mitt Romney had also, like Obama, been infected by Alinsky's influence."

George Romney, who supported the Civil Rights movement, consulting with Alinsky, who was deeply involved in fueling civil unrest, to find a peaceful solution to race riots in Detroit in the late '60s far from makes Mitt Romney a far-left radical or Alinsky supporter. Nor does it change Alinsky's far-left ideology.

So it sounds like, correct me if I'm wrong, George Romney who met and embraced Saul Alinsky and his Mitt Romney weren't "infected by Alinksy", but Obama who never met the man, was a child when he died, was influenced by this so called radical ideology? Mmm..okay

Classic guilt by association. President Obama never mentioned Alinksy in either of his memoirs, but te SlinginSammy has concluded, along with some on the right, that this man Alinsky is a boogeyman. I would think if this guy was such an influence he'd at least give him a quick shout out in one of his books.

As with all conspiracy theories, the Alinsky-Obama link rests on a kernel of truth. For three years in the mid-1980s, Obama worked for the Developing Communities Project, a group on Chicago’s South Side whose tactics — meeting with displaced steelworkers and marginalized public housing residents — were inspired by Alinsky. So radical.

I think what SS3 and the folks he pals around with are saying is that talking to Alinksy can infect your thinking process. It is best to say away from people with a strong jedi force because they can trick you and manipulate you.

...also it can be mathematically proven that the associations of Romney are not reflexive while that of Obama are.

Sorry it's just that no one ever says anything like that in these threads. In all seriousness you will see in the near future how badly cap and trade fails in California. On top of that lets not forget about the Transport Rule that was recently struck down citing that the EPA had overextended itself. Keep in mind that the more and more specialized equipment and limits the EPA requires and imposes raises the cost of doing business. We are competing in a global market place.

We don't need to force every 2010 truck and newer to use $4 a gallon DEF fluid to burn slightly cleaner fumes. If global warming is nearly the problem the EPA says it is then that will barely make a dent with these nickle and dime policies. Or forcing trucks to add "freon recovery units" that stop freon from going into the atmosphere at a cost of $3,000 per truck.

Or lets not forget the EPA forcing trucks to use more and more refined diesel with lower sulfer content in an economy that already has gas prices that are to high.

These are the things I deal with on a daily basis whose cost gets passed on to you the final consumer in virtually all the tangible goods you purchase. And to clarify I am not a truck driver nor am I a dispatcher.
You haven't put too much thought into what you wrote. Like why it's good to regulate freon (CFC-12), the fact that in economics the labor market is a non-zero-sum game, the idea that a sitting president is interested in destroying the economy, the notion that nickel and diming doesn't ad up.

..do you.

Wrong answer. Presidents submit budgets, Congress passes budgets. Obama has submitted a budget every year, Congress passed the first one in April/2009.

He's only been calling on Congress to pass the American Jobs Act for over a year now. And he actually did speak at length about this during is State of The Union address.

I thought the president's job was to created a budget, propose it to congress, pass it through the house, pass it through the senate, mediate the house and senate conference, and finally sign it.

...still, the US is still running without a budget...pretty amazing huh?

or maybe write a chapter for the book “After Alinsky: Community Organizing in Illinois,”

So radical.
- Obama first learned Alinsky’s rules in the 1980s, when Alinskyite radicals with the Chicago-based Alinsky group Gamaliel Foundation recruited, hired, trained and paid him as a community organizer in South Side Chicago. (Gamaliel’s website expressly states it grew out of the Alinsky movement.)
• Gamaliel board member John McKnight, a hard-core student of Alinsky, penned a letter for Obama to help him get into Harvard Law School.
• Obama took a break from his Harvard studies to travel to Los Angeles for eight days of intense training at Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation.
• Obama also taught Alinsky’s “Power Analysis” methods at the University of Chicago.
• “Obama learned his lesson well,” said David Alinsky, son of the late socialist.
Son sees father's handiwork in convention - The Boston Globe

A one time meeting between George Romney and Alinsky certainly doesn't grant George or Mitt Obama's stunning ALinsky credentials.

Your talking about the American Jobs Act thats suppose to do the same thing as the last stimulas of 800 billion that didn't work. Why keep throwing money down the same empty pit only for Obama to use it to buy more votes.

C'mon FD, UAW, Solyndra, Abound, Tesla, Fisker just need a little more gov't cash to create jobs and turn it around. You'll see, Obama and the gov't did build that!
