Not sure why you brought up the subprime lending act as I don't recall them specifically saying this which is why I asked for a link. I'm quite well aware of when the banking deregulation took place, but I think you are off base on what he's talking about. The failed policies he's talking about is: 1) Cutting taxes for ultra rich 2) Increase military spending 3) Sustaining wars on foreign lands 4) Deregulating businesses and banks in general However, lets look at the bill you are talking about. You do realize this bill wasn't brought forth by a democrat right? It was 3 Republicans that sponsored this bill. Sen. Phil Gramm (R, Texas), Rep. Jim Leach (R, Iowa), and Rep. Thomas J. Bliley, Jr. (R, Virginia), the co-sponsors of the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act. Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia If you look, a vast majority of those opposed were democrats. So let's point that finger in the right direction. Thanks!

| Re: Democratic National Convention 2012 And let's face it if Obama wasn't running on his record, as some pretend, he'd be getting absolutely hammered in the polls. Especially in states like IA, PA, and OH. Where he's leading and voters pay attention to the issues. |

"President Obama, on the other hand, has delivered some of the lowest grade level State of the Unions — preferring shorter, simpler sentences in his addresses." The judgment was made upon sentence structure of the speech, not on the complexity of ideas expressed through that sentence structure.

In the first 29 months of the Reagan recovery, the private sector created 8.04 million jobs. Doing the math, that's 277K jobs / mo. When you look at the numbers of folks dropping out of the workforce and other details of the jobless numbers, it's much worse than just 8.1%.

| Re: Democratic National Convention 2012 "Since 1961 … our private economy has produced 66 million private-sector jobs. So what's the jobs score? Republicans 24 million, Democrats 42 (million)." so, SS, that's a bad arguement. the above statement is true, though it's hard to say specifically who did what.
