Come on. That kind of attack really isn't needed. Stay classy.

You argue your way, I'll argue mine.

Dude is a pompous POS with the fragile sensibilities of a maiden aunt.

That isn't arguing, that's just letting people know you lack the intelligence to actually put forth in a debate. Some of the best scientists/atheists in the world don't attack creationist when they debate them. They use logic and facts when debating them. When you resort to attacks, you simply lose all credibility and it devalues any good points you may have made.

It also follows that it CAN be either or it CAN be both.

I hope your students get the option of a refund, you're a complete fraud.

That's all I said: that it CAN BE both. I never said it WAS both, but you quoted me that way. I need not be concerned by words which you falsely put in my mouth.

It's not the first time that you wrongly put words in my mouth. Please know that if you have to stoop to misquoting me in order to win an argument, you are implicitly offering me a huge compliment. Thank you for that.

I would add that you know nothing about my professional life, so I need not worry about your opinions on that, either.

Actually it did not take two to tango.

Some (not all) Capital Hill Republicans signed a letter in August which described their unilateral plan to shutdown the government if needed. Not only was there a unilateral plan, they put it in writing. Read more here;

I'm not sure how Obama can be blamed for someone else's written document.

Moreover, your line about how Obama cared less about the shutdown than he did about Obamacare misses a fundamental Constitutional point: The ACA is a law and the President is Constitutionally required to enact and defend laws. Put differently, even if Bush had been in the White House, he would have been Constitutionally required to endure the shutdown rather than scrapping the ACA.

But since we are blaming Obama for someone else's document and for defending the Constitution, I'll offer this:

Re: Pics For Sharing & Debating

Yeah, because it is impossible for Obama to violate the Constitution in one situation but protect it in a completely different situation. How hilarious.

All your link is saying the Republicans decided to defund Obamacare, knowing the Democrats could not accept the budget without it, resulting in the government shutting down. And the article repeatedly calling the Republicans "suicide caucus".

Congress has the power of the purse strings. They can defund lots of things "written into law" (military spending, highway and transportation, etc.). Besides the Obamacare regulations on insurance companies and healthcare plans are law, but not the $ amount Congress spends, so I think you're confusing what is law and what isn't.

Blaming Obama for someone opposing him? WTF are you on about?

This pic's just as accurate as the ones blaming Republicans for the shutdown.

The real issue is what both parties passed in Congress as a result of the "shutdown". But hey, enough people think they're getting free unlimited healthcare, and let's blame Republicans not Obama for everything, so who cares!
