Exclamation McNabb... Heart vs. Head

I have McNabb and Rivers as my 2 QBs in my money league... and I'm first in my division and leading them by over 100 pts and one win. Im going against the only guy in the league ahead of me this week, in a probable superbowl preview...

Should I start Donovan McNabb against our horrendous pass D? Or do you think we may right the ship and upset this week?

My head says, "no brainer... start mcnabb" but my heart says don't go against your team after last week... we may just shut them down, and mcnabb hasn't been hot the last couple of games, on top of which his stats after a bye arent tops...

Advice... Please....

Re: McNabb... Heart vs. Head

I couldnt take benefitting from mcnabb throwing td's against us... that would suck... I think we're gonna finally start picking balls off next week. God knows we're due. I remember lack of TO's was a problem last year, and GW said they come in bunches... and they did...

Rivers is playing cincinatti.. how's their D? I know they tend to take the ball away alot.... but rivers hasn't thrown alot of pics this year... hmmmhmmmm

Maybe you should just bench them both?

mcnabb will probably have a better day. he doesn't have to compete with LT.

Re: McNabb... Heart vs. Head

Here's the deal. Start McNabb. If he has a good day then at least you got some benefit from it. If he has a bad day then at least you got some benfit from it. Starting Rivers is the only way you create a situation where you potentially get pissed on both accounts.

I solved that...I just don't draft any Cowboys or Eagles. I still do well, there are 32 starting QBs out there...not having McNabb won't kill me.

Re: McNabb... Heart vs. Head

Stats over the last 4 games:

McNabb (DAL, @NO, @TB, JAC): 77-134 (57%), 1064 yds, 7 TDs, 4 INTs, 2 Fum, 1 FL, sacked 11 times
Rivers (@SF, @KC, STL, CLE): 88-133 (66%), 1017 yds, 5 TDs, 1 INT, 2 Fum, 1 FL, sacked 8 times

Starting either wouldn't be a bad choice, since they are both going against subpar Pass Defenses. If I had to choose, I'd take Rivers. I think the Skins D will have something in store for McNabb.

Re: McNabb... Heart vs. Head

Mcnabb was a late round pick and had scored the most fantasy points of anyone in football up until last week...

He threw 3 picks 3 weeks ago and still got me 31 pts.... He's worth the pickup... I don't ever look at cowboys, but if shokey is available sometimes ill pick him up if there are no other tight ends.

It was nuts how many people were drafting cooley early this year...

It's not all your heart. As bad as our pass D has been, its about the time when you think that McNabb has a great chance to set a passing record that he completely disappears. That said, you probably have to go with him.
