Ummm....I don't even know how to respond to this. Good for them for putting out a video. It's just my opinion, and that of others, that they could have done a better job. Or maybe that's the best they can do who knows but I didn't realize I have to put out my own video to have an opinion on theirs.

That's why it was more directed at some of the other people. I thought your first post was constructive. It's all the "That's terrible" or "that was completely awful" that bothered me.

I disagree. In this age of the web, anyone can put whatever they want up into the public space. I'm all for that. But the flip side is, we have responsibility to say when something sucks. And that video sucks. Just because you can pick up a camera doesn't mean you're Martin effin Scorcesse--and somone ought to tell you before you quit your day job.

I don't need to know how to cook to know when food tastes nasty. Here's some constructive criticism: leave the art to the artists. If you think you've got what it takes, bring it. We'll let ya know. But just making a video isn't enough. It's got to be GOOD. Ok I'm done.

Okay, I'm not going to sit here and argue because I don't really care that much. However, I will say that I don't think anyone has a "responsibility" to say that something sucks. That's your opinion. An opinion that I don't recall them asking for.

No, they asked for my opinion when they put that crap out in public. If they didn't want the public's opinion, they should have kept that nonesense in-house. I sing in the shower all the time; I don't post it on the web (though my creepy landlord may have--that's another story though...).

The flip-side of freedom of expression is the responsibility of speaking back when you hear something--maybe you like it, maybe you don't, but it's the nature of free expression. Anyone can say anything (almost), but that doesn't mean we can't call crap crap. And if we don't, we deserve all the crap we get.
