| A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round Without giving up a 1st next season. Lets say we get a 4th round pick for Ramsey. We get a compensatory 4th round pick for Smoot. We can trade into the late 1st round. I belive Denver is the only team with 2 1st round picks. So Denver or a team wanting to trade down, We can give our 2nd, one of our 4th and our 3rd if the Redskins were high on a player. It would hurt our depth in the draft. But to get a impact player it would be worth it. Watching the Sr. bowl practice today players the Redskins might want are sliding down. Kiper said WR Hagan from Arizona St. has slid to the 2nd and Louisville DE E.Drumville has slide to the 4th or 5th round. Tapp has also hurt in stock in practice's. So might want to stay put and take the best player. |

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round The idea of trading up is always tempting, but I honestly do not believe that we need to trade into the first round. If we pick up a few guys via free agency and draft well, our needs should be filled. |

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round An end of the 1st round player is not a lock to be an impact player. At least not the impact that giving up 2 quality picks and a depth pick would require. |

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round Sounds good but I dont the idea of taking a WR if get a 1st. Wr always seem to take a year or two to develop.

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round The only way that I would be willing to Trade into the 1st Round would be if one of the top TE's or DE's falls far enough for us to draft in the bottom of the 1st. I don't believe at this point there is another position of need worthy of that kind of trade. But there are 2 TE's that could lure the Redskins into a trade. I would be willing to trade our 2nd & 4th this year and a 3rd next to get one of the TE's or one of the top 3 DE's. That is until I see the Senior Bowl today.

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round It would be nice to have a first rounder but we can still pick up a good TE like T. Williams from NC ST. or DE like Stanley McClover from Auburn in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I still think it is early to try to figure out where people are going to fall in the draft since there have been no workouts yet.

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round imo you should only go out of your way to get to the first round if there is a player you couldnt live without. im not sure that player exists in this years draft. maybe reggie bush but the #1 pick is way out of our reach |

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round It won't surprise me if we wheel and deal to get into the 1st round. If Gibbs and company target someone, Snyder will make it happen. Arrington and/or Ramsey could be prime draft day bait. |

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round I'm pretty sure teams cannot trade the compensatory picks. They are like money from your mother, not to be spent on buying beer or strippers.

| Re: A Way We Can Get Back In The 1st Round We could always trade our first rounds from next year for the next 50 years until the draft system is changed and we won't have to worry about giving up a first ever. Cambell better be worth it
