| Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread S+C, Don't you think Kenny Phillips is going to go to the Giants at #31? I'm thinking we get a DE (Calais Campbell) and Jordy Nelson in the 2nd round...

| Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread Are we going to go the whole first round without a WR chosen? Has that ever happened before?

| Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread thats what people are saying. id love to have him. the only reason i want him to go ahead of us is to keep the canes steak of first round pick for x number of years in a row, 9 i think. or this will be 9. but hes going to be a stud, top 10 in the league easily. (which sucks to cmpare him to taylor who would have been top 5 all time....)

| Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread Merling should get to us. GB, NYG don't need DE. Merling doesn't fit MIA 3-4 and Rams already took Chris Long.

As for why no Redskins, they tried many years ago with David Alridge but the Redskins were not very cooperative and it wasn't worth it. It would be great for example if they could be in the Redskins War Room but they need permissioin and the Redskins simply won't grant it.

| Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread by giving up our 1st round pick we essentially dropped 14 places but upgraded a lower 3rd to a good 2nd rounder and a 5th to a 4th rounder. hopefully merling will still be around, then it would be a fantastic deal
