| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade I'm not gonna throw out a grade for day 1 b/c i think it would be unfair unless you let the whole thing play out and see how Cerrato intends to bring this all together (like watching a movie halfway through, walking out, and making a judgement). If it does turn out to be that we keep 2 WR's and a TE with our first 3 picks, i think Cerrato might have the following reasons for this: 1) He knows that next year's free agent class will be a little more wide open. Maybe he wants to be able to get some cap room in order to get some proven vets by letting ARE's $6 mill contract go. 2) The probability that both of these WR's are gonna be busts is very remote. Cerrato is probably thinking this is the surest way to improve for the long term at arguably our most needed position. 3) Maybe Zorn's new offense hinges on using Cooley more as a WR than a traditional TE or H-back. In this case we might need to have a large traditional TE who can block and provide a large target in the red zone. 4) Maybe we are high on some linemen in the later rounds of the draft who can be groomed to supplant our starters in two to three years.

| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade I gave a C. We could have added Quentin (sp?) Groves if I'm not mistaken instead of a 2nd receiver. And we could have added more depth on the o-line. |

| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade I agree with the value of the picks. Trading down proved to be a good move.

| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade "A" just because we didnt trade it away for CJ, and since we traded back to aquire more and still got really good value. I just really wish we used a high pick on the o line or for a DE, and didnt use a high pick for any TE. I wish we traded down 2-3 spots to pick up Merling once he slide to the second round, I wonder how much that would have cost to do that. |

| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade I give them a B....an A would be matching value and needs and a TE does not do that. I like the TE....but getting Campbell when he was available was the obvious choice that I think they may regret....especially since we are going into the 5th round without picking any Dline help...I thought that was our greatest need. We will have to get exceptionally lucky....hope there is someone who's falling because of injuries that will go away or something... We need Dline help...and soon.

| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade Quote:
My first reaction to the 2nd and 3rd 2nd rounders, was: 1. Whaaaaaat? 2. Huuuuuuuh? 3. What were they thinking? 4. Three 2nd rounders, and we end up with this? 5. Where is the OL, or DL? 6. Where is that DE I've been pushing for for 13 years straight? 7. I don't get it! 8. Then I thought of 4 wide set with double TEs! 9. Then I thought of the Redzone! 10. I remembered the 8th ranked Defense! 11. Oh, yeah, I was always in the half of the class that made the top half possible, right there at C!

| Re: Day 1 Draft Grade A - Because we got 3 1st round caliber players for 2nd round picks. Regardless of whether you think they'll pan out or not there is no denying that no one would have called picking these guys in the first round a reach.
