| Re: NEW!! Improved Front Office Strategy! [QUOTE=skins89moss;547028]I was watching NFL Network and Solmon Wilcox gave the Draft Grades for the NFC East since 2004. 1. NY Giants: A Drafted 19 starting players. 2. Eagles : B Drafted 14 starting players. 3. Cowboys: A Drafted 17 starting players. 4. Redskins : D Drafted 9 starting players. Hmm...does this include starters that we traded our draft picks for? We need to compare apples to apples...many of these teams rarely leverage picks for guaranteed starters...of course we can argue if that is a good strategy or not...but I doubt this analysis is fully complete

I never would have gone after two WR's and a TE in the 2nd round last year! Who ever would have thought that one up? I was pulling for a DE with the first pick, and was thrilled when the B&G wound up with a trade down for more picks. Then I was like W H A A A T???????

What stood out to me was this: The Giants have been the most dominant team in the division over the last couple of years and 19 of 22 of their starters came through the draft. It seems like there is a lesson there. Then again, the wheels came off of the Giants bus last year when they lost Burress, whom they had acquired through free agency.

Mitchell doesn't walk on egg shells for anybody unlike Larry Michael who is the ultimate company man. The skins could lose by 50 points and he'd try to put a positive spin on it. Mitchell will always be a Redskin in my eyes.

Deon was looking for his last big payday. He was crying about coming back to play for Marty plus he had a toe injury. I couldnt stand him with the cowboys but he seems like he got his act together since retiring.

Can't expect a good draft grade when you do not meet your team's critical needs. I still am pissed over what the '06? draft when we drafted 2 or 3 RBs when we already had Portis, Betts, the Rock, while we were, as always, hurting for linemen and DBs for depth. I know the draft rags are saying we are going to get a DE or DT, but I think we really need our top pick to be a T or G.

| Re: NEW!! Improved Front Office Strategy! also says maybin was a senior...he was a rs soph. im wary of us taking a DE this high, orakpo and jackson are the only ones id be ok with taking high. Larry English is someone id be interested in later on. I see brown, maybin, and ayers being busts, imo.

| Re: NEW!! Improved Front Office Strategy! I think B- Mitche's " telling it like it is" routine gets a little tiresome. If you're going to tell it like it really is you have to speak the good also. His attitude of "you just have to do it" and making everything seem simple doesn't hold much water when he could'nt even break into the starting lineup. I liked his attitude as a player, he was one of my favorites, but that same attitude doesn't come off so well as a former player who was let go and now analizes the Redskins for a living. And no, anal-ize was not a typo either.
