| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 I went w/ Andre Smith. No injury issues and the dude is flat dominant on the field. Oh did I mention our three OTs are coming off injury plagued seasons, two are aging guys and the young buck somehow is injury prone too. Rey is my second choice, hands down. I won't bitch and moan if Orakpo falls to us but I don't think he'll make an impact this year. As OLB he'll struggle in coverage I think, and we require so much of our OLBs. I think eventually Orakpo would just move to RDE after AC heads down the road, that is so long as his knee holds up.

| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 Phrases like "workout warrior" and "high motor" make a big impression on me. We're not set for years to come on the d-line but adding Orakpo would pretty much get us there. A superior defense gives even a mediocre offense a much better chance for the win, obviously. I won't cry if we took Oher or another top notch o-lineman or Maualuga but I will saw off my testicles if we draft Sanchez at 13. Actually that's mainly because the wife wants another kid and it makes for a good excuse.

| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 anyone on that poll except Sanchez. Maybin is'nt #13 talent, but i would rather have him than a trade up for effing Sanchez. |

A lot of times using "workout warrior" to describe a football player is a bad thing. It presumes that he is more focused at being great with measureables and at workouts, rather than on gameday - ala Archuletta. | |

I am open to Sanchez at #13. I think the real issue is whether or not the Redskins have an open mind to JC being the QB beyond next year. If they do then I want to stick with him, but if they don't it may be a good idea to just move on now rather then spend another year trying to coach him up.

| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 He should! When we play the cowboys, Eagles and Giants they will have a hell of a D-line (actually, 2 starting type D-lines) and we need to bulk on the OL especially up the middle to negate the rushers coming from the outside.

I'm half-kidding obviously, but field vision is a skill that our current Center has never heard of.

| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 Kiwanuka and Uyeminora come in quick, if you attack the middle holes with Dockery, Mack and Thomas you would have lots of day light ahead instead of running to the outside and those quick ends waiting for you. I really believe we could play smashmouth football with this guy in the middle. Centers used to be the most important position on the OL until RT overtook it. In my opinion C are the QB's of the line. Since Bostic left who have we had that made a difference?

| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 With the 13th pick (or 9th after my predicted trade with GB) in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Brian Orapko, Defensive End, University of Texas.. Paintrain is a happy camper. With the 13th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Rey Maualuga, Linebacker, University of Southern California.. Paintrain is a happy camper. With the 13th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Andre Smith, Tackle, University of Alabama.. Paintrain is a happy camper. Anything else (outside of a trade down) and I'm gonna hurt someone.

| Re: Please Draft ??? at #13 We couldn't really go wrong with any of those guys. Orakpo would fill and immediate need to our aging line. Same goes for Oher or Smith on the other side of the ball. London Fletcher is a gamer but isn't getting any younger so Maualuga makes sense. He could play OLB until we run Fletcher off. Maybin would have to play OLB. He's too small to play DL. And as much as I hate to say it, Sanchez would make sense because it really seems like our FO has no intention of resigning Campbell unless he has a pro bowl season and leads us to the playoffs. But if I had to make a choice, I'd pick (in this order) Orakpo, Oher, Maualuga, Andre Smith, Malcolm Jenkins, Mack, Moreno, Cushing (these guys aren't on the list but are good football players), Maybin, and then Sanchez. |
