You can't say that, Bradford is considered the best QB in the draft and has been for 2 years now.. Suh is a beast but who says he is going to be worth the number 1 pick? I remember when ppl thought Dan Wilkinson was worth the pick...

I don't think he's more dominant than, say, Haloti Ngata was, and Ngata made it out of the top ten.

I think Suh might be the best player in the draft, but I wouldn't say I see him as the type of player teams will regret drafting for the next ten years. I think he's just going to develop into a pro bowl defensive tackle by 2013.

Lets be realistic, when your starting a franchise, what should you draft? QB OR DT? Let me think.... O yea QB. Hell we have the best DT in the league and you saw what it got us (4-12). Point is everything starts with a QB, yes even Oline. If you don't have a QB (Vikings before Favre), you won't be real successful.

I don't think Tripp was saying that we should draft Suh, merely stating that he is not as dominant as someone made him out to be.

And your Vikings example is horrible. Minny had everything (elite defense, very good offensive line, good running game, and decent receivers), EXCEPT a QB to be successful. While Favre was the icing on the cake, one of the reasons they were successful, was because that offensive line kept Favre upright.

We are far from being just a QB away from being successful.

I disagree with you Inok because a team has a higher likelihood to hit than miss with a Dend like Suh. It's like when the Texans took Mario...time has proven that they made the right decision. As good as Bradford could be, he still would have no one if drafted by the Rams up front good enough to protect him; therefore he is likely to run the risk of reinjuring the shoulder.

I agree about us, but we need a QB anyway.. As far as Minny, I'll go with Dallas as another example. Before Romo where were they? Avg or below avg. Same goes with New Orleans before Brees.

I can't argue about Suh he is amazing, but Bradford could become an elite QB within 2-3 years. Like Brees did in SD

Schefter and his crew of analysts are speculators. they're paid by espn to speculate. Essentially that's what passes for news these days. They need daily updates and the bigger the better. Why not? Bradford is going 1st overall!

Suh, I believe is way more talented than Ngata. Suh is equally talented as a pass rushing end as well as run stopper. the guy will be an instant force for which ever team he plays for. Can you imagine how much better Chris Long would be with Suh on the other side in a spags defense... Pretty scary

I think the Rams may actually have a better line than ours...I do know that they are pretty young, with almost all of the starters under 30. It seems that Jason Smith had injury problems this season (concussion), but if he's healthy, that could improve their line. I'm sure they could use a veteran in that offensive line.

The Rams do need a QB, and they also need receivers, they have no one to throw the ball to. Fortunately for them, they don't need to pick up a WR in the first round, so they could go ahead and pick up Bradford in the first round.

Hmm.. If Bradford gets drafted #1, then Suh, and McCoy would get picked up, and we'd draft Okung or Davis. I'd be happy either way, although I think that we're going to end up with Bradford.

What ever happened to Bulger? He used to be so good, but I guess he just got injured the last 2 years.. Seems like he has interesting potential to become the next Kurt Warner - and resurrect his career. Or not. Ah well.

Yes, but your QB won't be much of anything if he has no protection. Brees has a good line in front of him...Romo...I'm not sure about them and their line. We can pick up Bradford, but Shanahan better do a damn good job fixing our POS line, otherwise we'll be back with the same problem next year.

Bulger got old very fast for some reason...also St. Louis has not done a good job at getting good wideouts since probably Torry Holt left. I think he might have been injured for a game or two last season (Bulger).

No doubt, I would love to see Okung in DC just as much as Bradford.

Re: Schefter: "There's no way" the Rams won't pick Sam Bradford at No. 1

Shit, we need linemen of the highest caliber, not some hot shot Qb from a NCAA powerhouse that is totally overhyped. Come on now fellas, Oklahoma is a bigtime college football powerhouse that with the exception of playing Texas, T Tech, and a resurgent Nebraska, plays markedly inferior opponents just about every week. Their out of conference games are a total joke. A better than average QB could excel when you have the deck stacked in your favor. What is going to happen when Mr Bradford faces PARITY? If he is a future Ram, he is screwed since they suck. If he is a future Skin, he is better off, but is still going to face opponents that are evenly matched to his team. Think about this. Since the late 80's/early 90's1 only 3 Qbs that have garnered a ton of publicity(hype) from NCAA Div 1 A football have made a major impact in the NFL: Aikman, Peyton Manning, and McNabb. All 3 from good solid teams, but not the uber powerhouses. They faced tougher competition being on second tier teams, with less talent to back them up. Brees garnered some hype out of Purdue, but nothing like Bradford or McCoy are receiving. Same with Favre, Rivers, and Brady. All 3 solid QBs from the second tier(well Univ of Mich wasn't second tier back then) who faced superior opponents often or at least a lot of teams on par with them in terms of talent. I know the Big Ten is weak now, but when Brady was at Michigan it was still regarded as on par with the SEC as the premier conference in college football. The Big 12 was also weak this year in terms of overall competition.
