| Re: Draft News for the Warpath Yeah, you'd have to have the second part all worked out before you pulled the trigger on the first part.

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath TK on extremeskins says the skins are waiting for one thing to happen for 'trick the skins have up their sleeve' (per Schefter) to work. I'm thinking the one thing is Jamaal Brown signing his RFA tender. If he does, i think one of the two scenarios will happen, based on tidbits Smoot has shared and my own crazy theorizing: Scenario 1: Bradford - Jamaal Brown and the Saints 2nd round pick to the Skins for Landry, McIntosh, and Haynesworth. - Redskins send #4, the Saints 2nd, and Andre Carter to the Rams for the #1 overall pick, which they use to select Sam Bradford - Redskins trade Donovan McNabb to the Raiders for their 2nd round pick and LB Kirk Morrison - Redskins sign Flozell Adams Scenario 2 - Berry - Jamaal Brown and the Saints 2nd round pick to the Skins for Landry, McIntosh, and Haynesworth. - Redskins select Eric Berry - Redskins sign Flozell Adams Personally, I hope we keep Landry. The dude's bulked up so much he could play ILB full-time if he adds a few more points.

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath I was still hoping there was some way we could swing that trade. The Cowboys are the last place I want him to go. Especially with the speculation about Flozell. That would be a nightmare.

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath If the Redskins trade Landry, McIntosh, and Haynesworth for Brown and the Saints' second, I will lose a great deal of faith in this new front office. Haynesworth for Brown and the Saints' second would be a fair deal for both teams -- you're talking about arguably the best defensive player in the game whom you're getting cheap for pro bowl OT and a second. Even Steven. No need to throw in McIntosh and Landry.

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath If we could acquire a stopgap for one year at OT, I wouldn't be against drafting Berry. Landry definitely played his best ball as a rookie when he was teamed with Sean Taylor. Perhaps he could return to form teamed with Berry, then we could address long-term OT need in next year's FA and draft. I'm not entirely sold that Okung or Trent Williams are worthy of #4 overall, but the more I read about Berry, the more intrigued I've become - he looks like the surest bet for multiple Pro-Bowl stardom. |

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath After hearing Condon say, that he's been down this road before with Eli Manning, reffering to the draft which he didn't want to go to sunny San Diego, and went to New York. We could still get Bradford, should he fall or if the Rams trade down...

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath You think that we'll drop something like that? Next year's 1st and 3rd (that we might not have). 1st and conditional pick based on McNabb's conditional? Or something else? |

| Re: Draft News for the Warpath Because in Saints trade scenarios you must consider that Grilliams is in New Orleans. He has a connection to Landry and Rocky, not to Horton.

No, its called common sense. No one will give the Redskins anything for Horton. Landry is much more talented, and has a higher ceiling compared to Horton who only had one decent season. Landry didn't have the best season last year, but as many of us here have said...it could've been that Landry was simply asked to do too much and that may have played into why he got beat so many times. Remember, Landry got beat because he was out of position not because of being slow or less talented. | |
