| Re: And the #4 pick is... Berry. I'm simply looking at the fact the Skins organization would not lie to us so sticking with that thought, M.Shanahan picked up McNabb and said he's our QB. So we are set there. K.Shanahan stated he was content with the OL we have now and would be happy starting the season with what we have now. So I'm almost betting OL will not be picked. That also means Bradford, Clausen, Okung, and Williams are out. That leaves Berry. ![]() We need a FS so I picked Berry. I'd almost go with one of the QB's simply cause you all can't be happy with Grossman, Brennan, and Bartel. JC will not be here. The future needs to be developed, gotten up to game speed, and what better person then Bradford if available to sit learning the system letting his arm get stronger and building up the muscle around it. Make him the #2 next yr and maybe take over 3 yrs from now. |

| Re: And the #4 pick is... I hope Campbell stays here as the back-up, and we select Okung. The 4th rounder hopefully is Capers or Chaney, and we are ready for the season opener against Dallas. |

| Re: And the #4 pick is... I am getting less and less comfortable with our draft position. It seems most everyone has the same opinion of Williams and Okung. Potentially good but also potential busts. I am pretty desperate for a trade down..which is obviously easier said than done. Big x-fingers for a trade down. |

| Re: And the #4 pick is... I wouldn't worry too much about the top tackles busting. The success rate of 1st round tackles is pretty solid. A trade down would be great, but as Allen himself said movement in the top 4 historically hasn't happened too often. I'm really, really tired of reading draft analysis at this point. First you hear great things about a guy, a week later he's bust material, then the next week his stock is rising again. It's ridiculous. Let's get this thing going already! |

The Philly of old would never do that deal, in fact I think it would be foolish to even post that if Roseman wasn't in the GM spot as he is. I read on espn about him, he's 34 & he says he's more "aggressive" than the last guy (can't remember his name). I guess Joe Banner is still the prez, so the mgmt. hasn't changed wholesale, but supposedly Roseman pushed hard to trade McNabb & he wants to upgrade the D w/a playmaker. Sal P. on espn has said that it's possible they would move up to get berry as you said. Since we've already done a big deal w/them, I could see Philly trading up but I would be shocked if they actually offered 2 2nds & their first. I think 1 2nd & I first would do it.

Cleveland would very much like to have Eric Berry or one of the top three tackles. At #7 none of these guys would be available, they could pick up Clausen, but I'm sure they would also reach hear and pick up Dan Williams from Tennessee. I can see either Cleveland or Buffalo wanting to move up...maybe Jax. I'd gladly trade down, if it results us in getting that 2nd rounder back.

| Re: And the #4 pick is... there are a couple really good articles out this morning about the willams vs. okung debate. i feel like this thread has morphed into that discussion a bit, so i figured i could post them here. I think it's interesting that Rick Maese mentions that the Oklahoma coaches learned a lot of their zone block scheme from Shanny: Redskins Insider - Oklahoma assistant thinks Redskins, Williams would be a good fit Jason Reid with some other info on our top 2 OT options: washingtonpost.com

| Re: And the #4 pick is... Im getting anxious. I will also be driving during the draft, into a different radio zone too. I hope I dont miss our pick. Any rough idea when the 4th pick will come around? I know it will vary based on how quickly teams draft.

Detroit will definitely have the phones open so they will probably take the full 15 minutes. Tampa I think will be fairly quick, so we could be on the clock between 25 minutes (quickest case) and 45 minutes if everyone takes the full 15 minutes. So we would be on the clock by 8:15 at the latest.

| Re: And the #4 pick is... Of course once we trade down to the 6th pick that's another half hour, and another 75mins till the 9th once we swap picks with Buffalo, so really probably about 9:45 |
