Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick?

According to this article Marvin Lewis and Carson Palmer will both be back for the Bengals next season. Only reason I'm posting that in here is because I feel the Bengals are taking themselves out of the discussion of drafting a qb this year, which is a good thing for us. Palmer didn't have a great year, esp. with throwing 20 picks, but I think once Ocho Cinco and Owens weren't playing he became a lot better, and I'd guess it's because he didn't have to worry about getting them their touches.

I'd say it was a little too small of a sample size to draw that conclusion... but if that is correct, then it says a lot about his leadership skills. He needs to be in charge of that team and if that means he has to jump down #85's throat, then so be it.

It also helped that their no name wideouts like Simpson stepped up bigtime against the Chargers and Ravens (despite losing that game). And maybe you're right, it does say a lot about his leadership skills, but since Lewis is going to be back and they need a lot of help in other areas of the roster, I think it's safe to take them out of the qb discussion. They were iffy on getting a new qb to begin with, but it looks like Lewis is content having Palmer around next season.

Given our DL troubles, does anyone think that we could get DE Nick Fairley from Auburn, or will he be gone by #10?

I thought he played DT in a 4-3 at Auburn? I would prefer a true DE

What about Darius?? I think he's a beast.. Also Pouncey I would love to draft either one.

Yeah, if they're keeping him and his contract, they're not taking another qb in the top 10. Mike Brown's head would explode.

The idea is that given his speed and size, he can be a killer 3-4 DE in the NFL.

I go Green, Blackmon and Jones in that order on who I like at this point.

I'd take any of the 3, Blackmon hasn't said he's coming out yet but I'm certain he will.. We will have a chance to get one that's for sure

I don't know. I was told a couple of weeks ago that Blackmon isn't coming out. Not to say that's for certain though. Guy I heard it from has been hit or miss with his info.

I think Green is better now, Jones has the potential to be better one day...but so does Devin Thomas I suppose
