| Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick? Just watching ESPN first take. And some football pundit just explained why he thinks Shannahan will take Cam Newton. Something tells me he'll be our next QB. The media drama would be a complete circus if Cam came here. |

| Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick? their division record is better, they are higher in the division standings. our strength of schedule was harder, we get the lower draft pick. |

| Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick? It seems to me that Shanny may be more enamored with Christian Ponder, given Ponder's football intelligence. Shanny seems to value that. I'm just guessing here, though.

I agree with what you are saying. BUT, I am really impressed with some of the QBs coming out this year. Michael Vick's style of play might just be the shape of things to come. Cam Newton is damn good at bettering Vick. He has size, escape ability and a damn good arm. I am more impress with him than Luck or any other QB. Another QB that shows something is Colin Kaepernick, not a first rounder like Newton, but he's on the same mold as Vick, but bigger. Mallet is huge, 6'7" and has good mobility. The only thing I worry about with these type of QBs, is injury to their legs when using their legs to gain yardage. This is a good class of QBs in this draft to take one. But Cam is damn good. Just hope his ego doesn't get in the way with his NFL career.

You might be right, but he does have an upside - size, good arm and he can use his legs to get out of trouble. Like you, I thought initially that Mallet was a non-factor as a QB option for us. But if you look at some of his highlights the potential is there. But, I know what you are saying and I think that there are others better than him. Maybe you should check out this clip of Mallet and get back to me. Last edited by juskins; 01-13-2011 at 12:39 AM.

| Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick? 2011 NFL Mock Draft has Blaine Gabbert as No. 1 pick - Andrew Perloff - SI.com I like how this Andrew Perloff has the Skins picking a WR with their first pick. Wow, that would be the last position I would pick. Unless a franchise QB falls into the Skins lap at #10, they have to be thinking OL or DT I think. The often injured Malcom Kelly is still on the roster, in terms of big targets at WR. I say he gets one more off season to try to stay on the field and then he is outa here. |

| Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick? Well to be fair Schuab isn't exactly fleet of foot either yet he has easily been the best QB in this system since Elway. Heck if anything his numbers indicate that he's better then Elway in this system especially when you consider the fact that he never had a running game until this year.
