You know, I'm tempted to say congrads Peyton, but then I thought f**k that. Guy has millions of dollars, a Super Bowl ring, beautiful wife, multiple pro bowls, a pro player as a father that let him hang out with other pros as a kid, a quick release that limits the number of hits he takes, and now TWINS!

F**k that.

Oh and it's not regular twins where they'll have to worry about one uping each other all the time or who will play QB, NO! One's a boy and one's a girl. And of course he's a rich football star so all the dirty work of being a parent will be given to a nanny. Oh and the kids Uncle Eli also has a Super Bowl ring and millions of dollars. The perfect little family. F**k you Peyton and your perfect life. Lol.

Don't forget a thinning head of hair to match a receding hair line with that non-heterosexual comb over.

I'm going to shake things around a bit

1. Panthers-Cam Newton
2. Broncos-Marcell Dareus
3. Bills-Von Miller
4. Bengals-AJ Green
5. Titans-Blaine Gabbert
6. Browns-Julio Jones
7. Niners-Patrick Peterson
8. Cardinals-Jimmy Smith
9. Cowboys-Tyron Smith
10. Redskins-Robert Quinn

This would be 10x worse than the Heyward-Bey pick at #7 by the Raiders. This would be the worldwide nuclear meltdown of NFL picks. That being said, I hope it happens. With the exception of Von Miller still being there at #10. I'm okay with Quinn too though.

No way in hell J. Richardson picks Newton with all those red flags about his character. It's not his style and probably never will be. One thing for certain is the Panthers don't keep or draft a bunch of knuckleheads. I wouldn't call S. Smith a knucklehead before you decide to go there.

Newton to the Panthers doesn't seem all that crazy

They are blowing smoke up people's ass with this one. I don't see this one happening, but I'll eat my crow if they do indeed select him. If they do, you can write off the Panthers for another 5 years or so.

I have a suspicion that we go OLB later in the draft and not at #10 (assuming we stay at #10).

The Panthers would prefer to trade down, but if they can't I think they go with Newton. I've been torn between Gabbert and Newton for them

Very possible. I mean maybe they go with a guy like Watt at 10?

Maybe, but it wasn't the Panthers releasing this info so take it for what it is. At the very least the Panthers are just doing their homework.

Re: 2011 NFL Mock Draft thread.

When it comes to the 1st pick where theres smoke there is usually fire. It's the one pick the media usually figures out and most of the rumors so far have been on Newton. When the Texans passed on Reggie Bush and took Mario Williams it's like the only time I can remember being even remotely surprised by the #1 pick recently.

Yup. Until there is a rookie wage scale it will be hard to trade out of that first pick. And if you cannot trade out, there is no harm in broadcasting your intentions.
