| Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions #41 - Marvin Austin - DT .. (perhaps due to the UNC BS losing half there team to stupid NCAA rules we all forget .. this dude is a straight MONSTER and would be ideal in the 3-4) #49 - Ryan Mallet - QB .. Slips all the way to us at #49 OR #49 - Ryan Williams - RB .. or #49 - Hankderson - WR .. ( i think he will be gone in first 10 pcks of 2nd round though)

| Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions The draft is a way to gain assets. However, successful acquisition of said assets is haphazard and can only be partially controlled. If there's another nice depth pass-rusher they just love, they'll take him. Not only that, but our ILB situation is in a precarious position depth-wish. Anyway, I was just throwing stuff and the wall and seeing if it sticks, because I have no faith in mocks predicting picks outside of the top 5 or so of the draft.

| Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions Mallett will be there when we pick at #41...and probably #49. But I've never viewed him as a scheme fit for this offense. I would imagine that Stanzi is higher on our board...the only QB who will get real consideration from the Redskins at #49.

I wasn't a fan of his and I'm not sure I want him as a Redskin, but the more baseless crap that gets spewed about him the more I'd love to see him succeed. Good luck Ryan. | |

| Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions I understand the fact that he's not going #1 but there are a lot of people that claim he's Ryan Leaf waiting to happen, that that is the type of player that someone will be getting. I don't see it, but I reckon it's possible. My statement wasn't one of draft position as much as it was a comparison of perceived risk. So in that aspect, the Leaf comparison is quite accurate. |

| Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions Ryan Leaf failed because, according to him, "When playing football became a job, it lost its luster for me." Essentially, he hated his job, just like the workers in the movie Office Space.

| Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions Paea has played in the Pac-10 against some really good teams, Ellis has played in a smaller conference and we don't know how good he can be. Paea is a beast and I would love to call him the "Angry Samoan" even though he's Tongan.
