| Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread Our o-line was terrible today, but they are also banged up. I am sure you can find depth and another starter in later rounds and free agency. My point is that we're at the stage where we just need a good qb. The other holes are not as major as they were before.

| Yeah, it's time. QB's are such a gamble high in the draft but we're gonna need a young new face of the franchise soon. |

Think about it for a second. Our defense except maybe our secondary, isn't that bad. They keep us in games. It's our offense that doesn't produce. If you have the right QB, that QB will get the ball out fast and make the right protections. As awful as our OL played today giving up 9 sacks, it's really not that bad of an OL, IF you have the right QB behind it. Our OL IMO is better than the Colts, Cowboys, Bills, Eagles, Lions, Steelers, even the patriots. It's about whose back their to get the ball out quickly, eat up the clock (for your defense to rest), slide the protection, step up in the pocket and have awareness. No defense, no matter how good it is, is going to be motivated to go out on the field and stop a team that is up 23-0, when their Offense isn't producing. None!

In regards to holes, QB is far and away the biggest hole. Unfortunately, QB is the most important position on offense.

| Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread Time for a rant. The Colts should be investigated! How can a team suck for Luck that hard and not be trying to lose? They knew that their season was lost after Peyton Manning was injured, so now it looks like they may be positioning themselves to go from 14 years with Manning at QB to a decade or more with Andrew Luck at QB. I can't hate them enough! P.S. On top of that, the Colts will probably make some sucker organization pay a king's ransom for Manning! End of rant. |

The part about "making some sucker organization pay a kings ransom for Manning" is totally true, and can you smell Snyder's money warming up? Guess who could be the "sucker"? Although, I would still take him, but only for a jester's ransom! he's Peyton Manning after all and has good years left in him if he can return to health, but his days are sadly numbered. Any time you can get the best QB ever to walk on your team, it's a good decision, especially one with a football IQ as sky high as his is! Even if you don't agree he's the best ever, you can't argue he's a top 10...well I suppose you could argue it, but that would be foolish. He won't leave Indy though, what better scenario for the Colts is getting Luck to simmer on the bench for 2 years and learn all Peyton knows, then take over like Rogers did in Green Bay. Rogers is amazing because he got to watch one of the all time greats and learn from him...if the Colts were smart, they would take Luck and let him develop on the bench.

Let's say hypothetically he tries to comes back, is somehow able to pass a team physical, and is going to play again. The colts are either going to ask him to take a lower salary now that Andrew Luck is on the team (again, hypothetically!!), and they tell him that their plan is for Peyton to play one more year and tutor Luck. If Peyton refuses, then the Colts will tell him that they will try and trade him and his contract to someone else and wish him well. Keep in mind, he will not be allowed to work out with the team while this is going on. #2 Peyton does come back, agree to a lower salary, and basically puts his quality of life on the line to play one more season with muscle spasms in his back, and lingering nerve damage that has cut the strength of his throwing arm in half, leaving him fragile to take a huge hit. I like Peyton and I hope he does not do this to his body for what may not even be one more full season. He is a smart guy and he is made to be in the coaches box or on the sideline as an offensive coordinator. I just couldn't fathom Manning coming back at 50% of what he was, almost a shell of a QB really....

| Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread I wouldn't give up anything for Andrew Luck when you have all these other great options at qb. It's no brainer if we are in position to draft him we take him. However, I see no good reason to trade away multiple high picks for this guy when it's other great qbs in this draft that can get the job done. |
