| Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2) I'm just going to put this out there. Browns apparently really want Barkley. Like they realllly want him. Could be that they'd be willing to trade their 2 1st round picks to move up to get him. So...say we have a shot to get Barkley...or we have a shot to trade down and get say a Landry Jones and a nother first round pick. Or maybe we get two 1st round non QBs and someone like a Nick Foles (as an example) at the top of the 2nd. What do you do?

| Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2) Or... We trade Franchise Tag Landry, Trade him to NE or GB for Flynn or Hoyer! Then trade back in the draft for the Browns 1st rounders.... Profit!

| Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2) If the skins have a chance at Barkley they should get him, I don't care if the Browns offer 2 #1's.

With that said, I imagine that Cleveland will have to move up into the top 4 picks to get Matt Barkley. And we won't pick in the top four unless we lose the final five games of the season. Which we will not.

| Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2) Even if you think we suck and won't have any better than a 30% of winning any game the rest of the year, the chances that we don't win again in five tries is still under 15%. It's really, really unlikely that we finish 4-12. I could see 5-11. But even a small improvement and a win over the Jets makes 6-10 a reality, and then we may not pick in the top ten.

And then there is all the talk about some of the college kids not declaring, I'm starting to prepare myself that there might be a limited number of QB or "quality" QB's as some of you only want to buy into available. And how many other teams like the Browns are out there that are infatuated with a specific QB and with a Rookie CAP makes good sense to pick up a future QB? So yes if the QB's are limited or taken and we can't make the jump worth another teams while then drop back for more picks, take best available either WR or OL, then in the top of the second round grab a QB who best fits the system to develope. On top of that I heard the first "RUMORS" that the Skins might be interested in Rivers after this season. So I guess if we can upgrade from Grossman for Rivers and pick up a decent Rookie QB along with some more weapons and OL then I'd be happy. | |
